"So hungry," Denji grumbled, followed by the sound of his stomach growling. The Devil Hunters were just lying in the hallway with the Eternity Devil waiting for them at the far end.

Kanae's stomach growled in suit. "I could eat a whole horse," she said while holding her stomach. "Even you guys are looking tasty." Her head lay on Aki's lap with her body facing the wall in front of them. Aki placed his hand on her head and gently ran his fingers through her hair, hoping it would give her some kind of distraction.

"Do you have the vaguest idea for a plan to actually get us out of here, Aki?" Himeno wondered.

"If what the devil told us is accurate, then killing it is off the table," he said. "But Deni isn't dying, either."

"So, the plan's to sit around and starve?"

Aki took a deep breath. "I'll use the sword, should worse really come to worst."

"Like hell you will," Kanae argued. She turned so she could stare at Aki. "I'll beat the crap out of you before you use it."

I might have to break my promise to Miss Makima, Kanae thought. I already know she's not going to like it.

"If a couple of swipes from your sword can fix this, then use it. Am I right?" Denji said. "Or what about Pup using her power to make the devil release us? It stopped Kobeni from killing me."

"I wish I could, but we haven't eaten in days. What I want most right now is food, so unless I get it, I might not be able to change its desires," Kanae explained. "Curry sounds so good right now."

"That sucks," Denji said as he lightly banged the back of his head against the wall. "Why couldn't your desire be something obtainable like someone touching your boobs? I'd help you in a heartbeat."

Aki narrowed his eyes at Denji. "No one is groaping her, understand?" he sneered. Himeno watched Aki in amusement. A sly smirk formed on her lips, which he noticed. "What?"

"I don't see the problem," Himeno stated. "If it can't be Denji then I'll do it. Give you boys a little show."

Denji's eyes widened at the possiblity. "Kanae, are you sure you don't want someone grabbing your boobs?" he asked enthusiastically. "You can change your desires too, can't you?"

"I ain't getting my chest squished!" Kanae shouted. "And no matter what, we're not using his sword!"

Himeno inspected the two. It's amusing to see the two protect one another. Himeno and Kanae knows what happens when Aki uses his sword, that much is explanable. But it's funnier watching Aki get riled up over the Desire Devil.

"Sorry, Denji. If it comes to it, you're toast," Himeno winked at him.

"Huh?" Denji muttered.

The four jumped when they heard someone screaming from one of the rooms. Kanae moved so Aki could stand. "Who's screaming?!" Himeno wondered.

That small distraction is what gave the Eternity Devil a slight push to attack the four. Aki grabbed Kanae and hauled her up. "Run! Now!" he shouted to the three.

They ran down the hall. The Eternity Devil was hot on their tracks. "Kill Denji," it ordered. "Give me his heart. Give it! I grow as your fear grows. Your own trepidation will be your undoing! Let your terrors take hold!" Kanae reached behind and grabbed Denji's hand before dragging him behind her. "Dread your death! Dread everything. The one who succeeds in killing the Chainsaw will be me! The one and only Eternity Devil!"

The devil let out a loud crackle. Suddenly, the entire hallway stop and slowly began tilting. It surprised the Devil Hunters.

"The hall's tilting!" Aki pointed out.
