Reptilian Madness Part 2

The doctors within the medical were moving more nervously than what they were used to, even when handling dangerous or infected material for their studies in medical science.

But lately things have not been so easy, as more and more medical labs and hospitals have been the victims of robbers and vandalism. For whatever reason, they don't know why, but they were hoping to get through their shifts this night and go home unscathed.

One scientist was looking through a microscope before his shoulder was tapped on by a female colleague. "Time to close up shop, sir." She said with a smile.

"Right, right." He said with a sigh of relief as he got up from his chair and started putting his equipment away. "At least we made it through tonight."

"Whoever is causing all those break ins at the other labs, I'm sure that Batman and Spider-Man will catch them eventually." The female doctor said with a smile.

"We can only hope." The man said as he and the rest of his colleagues began locking up their equipment and various materials for the night.

Just then, before the rest of the staff could begin locking up, the lights began to flicker until the room completely went dark. Every doctor in the lab began to panic and mutter in fear, but the lead doctor pulled out a flashlight and turned it on, illuminating the darkness.

"Calm down, everyone. I'm sure it's only power surge. Back up generators should come back on soon." The lead doctor said, trying to quell his colleagues fears.

Crash!

Everyone screamed in fear when the as they saw figure crashing right through the glass window on the roof. The figure crashed right onto a table, shattering it to pieces as it stood on its hind legs. The Lizard growled as his red eyes traveled across the room, looking at each of the doctors as they all backed away in fear.

"RAAAAAAH!" The Lizard roared, causing everyone to scream in terror as they raced out the doors.

Now that he was alone, the reptilian creature that was Doctor Connors began trekking through the lab, bringing down cabinets, flipping tables, and tearing apart every notes it laid its eyes on.

"Where... issss it." The Lizard hissed as he opened a cabinet door and threw all the vials on the ground, shattering them.

"Doctor Connors!"

The Lizard hissed in rage as he turned and looked up to see Spider-Man and Batman jumping through the broken roof window he just came from, landing on the ground and looking at him cautiously.

"Doctor Connors, please. You're not yourself." Batman said as he raised his hands placatingly.

"Just come with us. Please." Spider-Man said earnestly as he took a few steps forward. "We know you're trying to find a cure. Let us help you."

"No! No help!" The Lizard roared as it took a few steps back while trying to hold his head in discomfort. "Mussst... mussst do thisss... alone!"

"You can't do this yourself! Let us help you!" Spider-Man begged eagerly.

"No. I... mussst... protect family." The Lizard said as he groaned in even more pain.

"Protect them from what?" Batman asked as he stood by his partners side.

The Lizard groaned in pain some more before it opened its eyes and stared hard at the two heroes, his eyes now becoming slits. "Myself." The Lizard said simply.

The Lizard gave a roar as it charged at the two heroes, slashing his claws at them, forcing them to jump to the side to avoid getting cut. Spider-Man leapt onto his back and started webbing him up in like a cocoon, causing the Lizard to give a muffled roar as he thrashed around.
