Dominick's POV:

"My feet hurt!" My brother Eli whined for the hundredth time today, "Eli shut up! All of our feet hurt." Deytan snarled back, I look down at my hands that have slowly blistered and bleed. The boys said a few more things but I tried my best to tune them out, they go back and forth like this for hours each day. Finally we arrived at an abandoned camper that wasn't far from the random road we were walking along on.  I got my gun ready and once the boys saw what I was doing they did the same. I pushed past the scrubs of bush that were hiding the camper slightly. The door was opened halfway, limbs of dead zombies sat around it; someone was definitely here.

We walked in and did a walk through of the whole camper, no one was still here. I made my way to the back of the camper, a queen sized bed laid perfectly neat and there was a necklace sitting on the night stand. I laid my gun on the bed and picked up the beautiful necklace. As soon as I picked it up I recognized it, I knew this necklace; but who's is it? The chain was a beautiful white pearly chain and the necklace was a perfect light pink stone with a capital 'J' in the middle. Eli tapped on my shoulder and I about punched him in the face. "Deytan is making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, you okay?" I nodded and shoved the necklace in my pocket. This necklace might not tell us much but if it gets us any closer to any part of our family that would make me happy.

We had to leave my dad, step mom and little sister at our old house. We would've taken Harper with us but there was a slim chance of her surviving with us all the way out here. My heart ached at the thought but I still had hope our family was still alive, we're all strong and amazing.
