=== CH'EN ===

Ch'en followed the escort group from a few meters behind.

The crystalline monster that was supposed to be Kal'tsit's assistant was surprisingly normal around here judging from the lack of reaction from the staff and operators moving around. They simply left space for the hulking black form and the group to pass by.

Their walk was long, so Ch'en assumed they were heading somewhere on the other side of the landship away from the hangar bay. It made sense. The further the prison area was from the aircraft hangar, the less likely any breakout attempt with an aerial vehicle would succeed.

The group was not as professional as Ch'en thought. Specter was humming the entire trip. Skadi was browing on her phone. The only one in character was Mon3tr up front. Ch'en still didn't know what kind of race it was. She kept her thoughts to herself as they traversed the landship interior. Ch'en would have to ask for help getting back to the hangar bay once she was sure that Talulah wasn't going to be mistreated.

A bulkhead came into view. It was painted with diagonal yellow and black stripes, warning everyone that the area behind it was dangerous. This must be the prison section. Ch'en watched Kal'tsit's assistant tap an access pad on the wall. It wasn't a flat screen that relied on touch. It was filled with numbered buttons. For an organization that had some cutting-edge technology, Ch'en approved that the security measures were kept in analog. Mechanical protections would be harder to breach. It was also more flexible should a system fail and the operators require to access the prison section manually.

The rolling gears echoed from the door loudly, turning until the bulkhead lowered into the floor. Mon3tr moved...hovered? – forward. Talulah quietly followed after her without resistance. Skadi, Specter, and Ch'en continued to flank around as they passed down a short hallway into the main holding area.

What a small prison.

Ch'en didn't have any expectations about the place. She only wanted to see the cell Talulah was going to be placed in.

The main holding area was only a single hallway with cells spanning each side. There were so few of them when Ch'en noticed why the place felt so off.

It was silent. Empty. The cells they passed by had no prisoners. Talulah was the only one here.

The cell Mon3tr stopped at was the last pair of cells furthest from the bulkhead. Ch'en studied the interior. The cell was barren. Flat steel walls surrounded all sides, a simple bed in the corner. There was a chair and a table on the opposite side, but nothing else.

"Where is the toilet and bath?" Ch'en brought up.

"I..." Specter paused then looked around. "-have no idea. What about you Skadi?"

"This is my first time here too."

A small growl came from Mon3tr which surprised the three of them, including their prisoner. Talulah blinked when the crystalline figure turned around and held a phone up at them.

...it had a phone?

Ch'en's confusion was pushed aside when she noticed words on the screen.

'Bath is scheduled twice a day. The barrier is automated to open at 8am and 8pm so the prisoner can access the showers.'

Ch'en certainly didn't see any showers here. Maybe a side compartment.

'Toilet and sink are hidden in the wall. Pull out and push back in after each use.'
