=== KAL'TSIT ===

Kal'tsit's world was slowly roused from her sleep.

"Kal'tsit..." Someone continued to nudge her awake.

"Just give me 10 more minutes Amiya..." She replied out of exhaustion.

"Alright..."

What a good girl. Kal'tsit was thankful she had one less problem to deal with on the landship. Amiya was such a blessing. The amount of work Kal'tsit had to go through decreased tremendously once the girl started involving herself in Rhodes Island's management. Kal'tsit started her mentorship a long time ago, but it was still far from over. Amiya still had to learn a lot more before the senior leader would call her ready.

For the following 10 minutes, the overworked feline slowly pushed herself awake.

"Black coffee?"

"Ngggh...thank you." Kal'tsit mumbled quietly as Amiya placed a mug of black coffee on her desk. Her hand intuitively snaked toward it and grabbed the cup. One sip. Two sips. A couple more, and Kal'tsit's mind slowly started waking.

The past two days had been a hectic series of meetings with different delegations. The largest- Yan and Ursus- hounded Kal'tsit for several sessions about the disaster. Kal'tsit produced a summary of the events and Rhodes Island's involvement. The defense would hold up for now, but not for long.

So, she sent Patriot some messages. The former Ursus general and war hero was well aware how politics worked. Kal'tsit could trust in her old friend to scrounge information on Chernobog. The Wendigo would then send the information back for her to use. It'd save both of them the trouble if Kal'tsit could prove the Reunion was not as much of a threat as it was before. Just as Kal'tsit needed to take the heat on Rhodes Island, Patriot needed Rhodes Island to be the focus while he evacuated the remaining Reunion out of Ursus.

I scratch your back, you scratch mine. What an apt age-old phrase.

"Here's coffee."

Kal'tsit felt the small vibration through her desk as Amiya placed the mug. Her head slowly rose and automatically navigated towards the coffee like a hound. Her nose kept twitching at the familiar smell she acquainted with energy.

Amiya nearby couldn't help but smile. Kal'tsit looked so serious all the time that small moments like this looked comical and nice. Her teacher figure needed more time for herself, but her position as a leader of Rhodes Island didn't leave much.

Kal'tsit slowly rebooted herself with each sip. After a few minutes, she had awoken enough to start reading the list of priorities she wrote down yesterday.

"The Doctor already started on these." Amiya leaned in and marked some of the tasks. "He came while you were sleeping and told me he'd work on them."

Kal'tsit blinked. She was tempted to thank him, but that idea was squashed right away. She couldn't see him in a good light after what he did.

"I will talk to him about them later." Kal'tsit had another priority first. "I have a matter to attend to. You may have the morning off Amiya."

"If it's important...then I'd like to stay and watch." Amiya clutched her tablet closely. Kal'tsit had been working herself to the bone for the last two days that Amiya had to temporarily take over the landship's management. Kal'tsit said her work was fine, but Amiya wanted to do better.

Kal'tsit weighed her options. As things were, only a small group of people knew about the matter. Amiya was young, but she was training to be the future leader of Rhodes Island. Eventually, she would run across situations like this.
