Alison's P.O.V.

"I'm gonna miss you!" Hailey hugged me and I hugged back.

School is finally over, and I have no choice but to move today. It was really sad seeing other people's faces when they knew that I was moving, especially Hailey. She cried and cried until my shirt was completely drained from her tears. I promised her that I would try my best to text and call her everyday, but I know that it wouldn't be the same. It's not everyday that you tell your best friend for 8 years that you're moving to another state, and I'm pretty sure if it her that was moving, I would have the same reaction.

"Don't worry, I'll come back next summer." I reassured her.

She finally let me go and I could see that she's been crying all night. Her eyes were quite red, and she had bags under it as well.

I handed her a tissue and she gladly took it. "You're right. I should be brave, and I'm pretty sure you won't find another best friend in California."

I chuckled at how she thinks I could replace her. "And I'm pretty sure that you won't be able to replace me. I'm pretty awesome you know."

She rolled her eyes and smiled.

At least I got her to smile before I left.

"Oh! I almost forgot to give you this." She handed me a book. I looked at her, confused. "It's a scrapbook." she explained.

I opened it up to see pictures of me and my friends, but mostly just me and Hailey. I also saw that there were comments written on the last few pages of the scrapbook. They were from my classmates, friends, all the members of the drama club and even some of my teachers. I didn't have time read all of them so I just flipped through some of the pages and saw comments like "Good luck in California!", "Don't forget about us <3", "We'll miss you!"

I can't believe Hailey did this. It was probably very hard for her to do this alone, especially the signing part. There were probably 100 people that wrote in this scrapbook. I don't even know how I couldn't even realize that she was doing something like this. She was always with me during school, and we would always hang-out in between periods. Was she Wonder Woman or something??

"I got help from some of our friends, and I lied when I said that I was visiting my grandma last weekend. I was actually at home finishing the scrapbook." she explained. "Do you like it?"

"No! I don't like it. I love it!!" I gave her a hug. "I can't believe you went through all this trouble just to do this." I started to tear up again. This time, it was her who was handing me a tissue.

"I just don't want you to forget about me." I could see her frown forming once more.

"I promise that I will never forget you. You're my BFF." I gave her the biggest smile that I can muster even though my eyes were a bit teary.

"Ali, let's go. When don't want to be late for our flight." Dad said while honking the horn.

"I guess this is our last goodbye." Hailey said.

'Don't cry, Ali. You're stronger than this' I thought.

"I guess it is." I gave her one final hug before getting in the car.

"You're gonna be fine, Ali" Mom said while giving me a light pat on the back. As we were drving off, I looked back to see Hailey still waving at me and I did the same, but all I could think of was how am I going to survive without her.

"Welcome to our new house!" Dad exclaimed.

My mouth went wide open. "That's not a house. That's a semi-mansion!"
