🎓 Tyler's P.O.V. 🎓

"Tyler, hurry up!" Alison started pounding on my door.

I rushed towards the door and opened it. "I can't tie this tie." I tell her, looking down at my suit.

She grabbed my tie, and started to make knots, and before I knew it, it was already tied. "Didn't you wear a tie on Valentine's Day?" She asked, adjusting the tie for me.

"Yes, but that was a clip on tie, and I lost it a few months back." I grabbed my car keys and headed downstairs alongside with Alison.

"Okay, if you drive fast enough. We could still make it."

"Don't worry; Alex texted me saying that the ceremony hasn't started yet." We both got in the car.

"Still. I want to get there early, but you just had to oversleep." Alison said, narrowing her eyes at me.

I smiled sheepishly.

*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*'*

We started running out of the car. I didn't even find a good enough parking space for my car since Alison was worrying that we'll miss the valedictorian's speech. I mean, does anyone actually listen to that?

Our parents were already here since they went ahead of us, and Alison decided to wait for me instead of going with her parents. I didn't really think I could oversleep, but I guess having a 'Modern Family' marathon a day before your graduation isn't the greatest idea.

We were already wearing our academic dress along with our graduation cap as we headed towards the field were the ceremony was being held. There were already so many people seated, as it was about to start, so we tried being as invisible as we can be but it was kind of impossible since we were the only one standing.

"Hey, I have to seat in front. I'll see you later." Ali said, as she made her way to her seat. Our seat were assigned to us by alphabetical order so Alison get to seat in front while I have to seat at the back. The only good thing is Liam is by my side since his last name is Parker. We made it right on time, just as our valedictorian stepped on stage.

"We're finally graduating." Liam said.

"Yeah, what college are you going to?" I asked him.

"I'm not really sure. I have two choices that I just can't decide on. It's either Brown University or Northwestern University. What about you?"

"I'm going to the University of California. It's near, so I get to visit my parents here more often." I answered.

"You're so lucky, you already know where you're going. I'm still a mess." He said.

"How about we flip a coin?" I took a nickel from my back pocket.

"Right now?" He seemed bewildered.

"Yes, it's not like we have anything else to do." I look at the stage where the valedictorian was still saying her speech. "Heads, you go to Brown University and tails, you go to Northwestern." I threw the coin in the air, and caught it, covering it with my other palm.

"So, is it heads or tails?" He asked, anxiously.

Everyone clapped their hands. I guess our valedictorian was done with her speech. The next part was the distribution of diplomas. I paused since I didn't want to miss Alison walk up to the stage. She was standing up, and falling in line with the other students.

"Hey, is it heads or tails?" Liam asked again. I put my palm up to reveal that it was heads. "I guess you're going to Brown University." I threw him the nickel and he caught it with one arm.
