"Welcome aboard soldier, Edward Elric II."
"Thanks for having me, sir."
It's been a few years and Edward Elric II has learned enough alchemy and has enough muscles to be able to backup the military.
Roy and Riza's relationship hasn't been developing but it's been stable.
"Mustang, am I assigned to do anything yet?"
Roy sighed,
"Go to lieutenant Havoc he might have some assignments for you."
Edward saluted one more time and left the room to search for Havoc.
Roy smiled the looked over to Riza,
"He's just like Ed..."
"Yeah, splitting image but the height and personality are more like his mother's..."

Back in Resmbool Winry and Edward had a little rascal on their own hands, their daughter,
"Nina, that's the wrong nerve."
Nina was helping her mother in the automail workshop, she's still at a young age but can still do automail,
"Oh, I see..."
She quickly fixed her mistake and showed her mom the work she has done,
"Good job, I'll finish the rest go help dad clean the house."
"Okay~"
She laughed as she jumped off the stool and ran into the living room of the Elric household,
"Daddy~!"
Edward was whistling a quiet tune and scrubbing the table as Nina ran over to him and jumped and grabbed onto his leg,
"Oh, Nina, helped your mom?"
"Yep!"
"Go ahead and grab a rag, for dad."
Nina unhanded her dad's leg and went to grab a rag from the kitchen,
"Now dip it in water."
Nina slowly dipped the tag into a nearby bucket of water and got on her knees as she started scrubbing,
"Oh yeah, how about we visit Great-Grandma today?"
"Okay!"

"Lieutenant Havoc-San!"
"Oh, the second!"
"Um...Mustang said that you should assignments for me."
"Oh, yeah come this way."
Havoc walked ahead as Eddie shuffled behind him,
"We need to visit your uncle first."

A little later Havoc entered the room Alphonse and Mei were staying at together,
"Oh, Eddie."
"Uncle Alphonse."
"We came to visit for a while."
Mei nodded,
"We heard the number of robberies has been increased."
Edward nodded,
"Yeah, I purely watched a woman get we bag stolen and couldn't do anything..."
Havoc sighed,
"Is the leader doing something wrong I wonder?"
Edward shook his head furiously,
"I don't think Mustang is doing anything wrong, it's just it happened all of a sudden..."
Everybody nodded and suddenly heard multiple screams from the hallway and downstairs.

"Winry, come on we gotta go visit Granny."
"I know, I know."
Winry quickly took off her gloves and apron as she followed Edward and Nina out of the house.
"Got the flowers Nina?"
"Yeah, I bet Granny will like them."
Edward laughs,
"I think so too."
The family enters the place filled with stones labeled with names, flowers were placed near or on those stones, they all walked up to one specific one that was labeled 'Pinako Rockbell.'
"Go ahead, Nina."
Winry patted Nina's back as Nina skipped up to the gravestone and placed it down,
"I'm doing good Granny, I hope your doing good in heaven!"

"What was that?!"
Edward opened the door and smoke randomly filled the room,
"A fire?!"
Alphonse start coughing as Mei helped him out of the room with the other two.
When they made it to the end of the hallway, they all found multiple injured bodies laying on the floor,
"Wha-"
"PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"
There was a few men wielding machine guns, soldiers were surrounding them but wouldn't dare to shoot at them,
"Lieutenant Ross!"
Edward got her attention but the robbers too,
"Eddie-Kun..."
One of the men turned around and walked over to Edward and the others as he aims the gun at them,
"What do you want?"
Edward clapped his hands together, since his gloves already had transmutation circles,
"I don't want anything from you, but I would like everybody here to stop!"
He shoved the man in front of him back then he slammed both of his hands on the floor and carpet turned into a huge hand and grabbed all the robbers to keep them in one place.
Maria and the others lowered their gun and continued to sort things out, some of them took the weapons away from the bad guys, some took the injured ones to the hospital and the others just tried to calm down.
Havoc patted Eddie's back,
"You done it again, kiddo."
"Haha, thank you."
Alphonse whistle,
"For a 12 year old you're doing great."
"Thanks, uncle, dad taught me great."
Mei laughed as they all exited the building with a people thanking Edward along the way.
Alphonse chuckles,
"Now that was an example of what we meant by the robberies."
Ed sighs,
"We can take care of it."
Havoc grins,
"Yeah!"
"It's almost my little sisters birthday, I wonder I should get her?"
Alphonse thought back for a moment,
"Nina's?"
"Yeah."
"We should come and visit too."
"Yeah, you should."

Edward and Winry headed home a little later after they visited Pinako,
"Nina, what would you like for your birthday?"
Edward asked as Nina jumped onto her dad's back as soon as they entered the house,
"I want too see Eddie-Nii!"
Edward peeled her off his back and he holds her in his arms as he turns to Winry,
"I'm pretty sure Eddie will visit right?"
Winry smiled,
"Of course, we told Roy not to give him dangerous jobs and it's his little sister's birthday why wouldn't he visit?"
Edward laughed,
"Yeah, hear that Nina?"
"Yeah!"
Edward places Nina down for her to run around freely as Winry enters the kitchen,
"Nina, wanna help mom bake the cake?"
"Yes!"
Nina laughed as Edward walked over to the kitchen himself,
"Let dad help too!"
"As long you don't burn down the house."
Winry teases as they both laugh,
"Nina, get the ingredients in this book for mom?"
Winry handed Nina the recipe book as Nina looked up and around the kitchen thinking back on where the ingredients were last placed.

Edward, Alphonse and Mei aboard the train as Edward waves goodbye to Havoc.
"Eddie, hurry the trains gonna start moving!"
Alphonse warned as Edward rushed over to the area where Alphonse and Mei were sitting at, he sits across from them,
"Ah, Uncle Alphonse, we should do a surprise attack to Nina!"
Alphonse laughs,
"She hasn't seen you in a while, maybe she'll like a surprise."
Mei smiled as she feeds Xiao Mei,
"That'll be fun."
"Yeah."

A few days later on the day of Nina's birthday, Ed and Winry woke up extra early to decorate the house and set things up, they received a call from Eddie saying that he just arrived at the train station with Alphonse and Mei,
"Dad, I want to surprise Nina."
"Okay, what she wanted for her birthday was just to see you anyway."
Eddie laughed,
"I see..."

A little later Edward and Winry finally finished decorating, Nina woke up and walked out of her room while rubbing her eyes,
"Mom, dad...?"
She looks up to see that her parents were sitting at the dining table, with her favorite breakfast prepared,
"Happy Birthday, kiddo!"
Edward and Winry said in unison as Nina smiled and climbed onto her chair,
"Thank you!"
Edward grinned,
"How old are you today?"
"8!"
Winry smiled,
"We have your favorite breakfast ready, go ahead and eat we have a surprise for you later."
Nina quickly ate her food, too excited to see her surprise, she cleaned up her plates and everything and then went back to her parents,
"I want to see my surprise now!"
Winry laughed,
"Got it, come on in!"
Suddenly three people bursted through the door with confetti poppers,
"Happy birthday, Nina!"
Nina stayed silent for a second trying to process her thoughts,
"Eddie-Nii." "Eddie-Nii!!"
Nina started crying and laughing at the same time as she ran over to her brother and jumped into his arms as he stepped back a little,
"Nina!"
Alphonse and Mei watched those two cry and hug each other,
"Al!"
"Nii-San."
"Thanks for coming, you too Mei."
"Yeah."
Winry got out the cake and everybody quickly gathered around and let Nina blowed out the candles,
"What did you wish for?"
"For my family to be together and happy forever!"
