" Um... "

" Yes? "

" I just realize that I don't have any money on me... " I trailed off, ducking my head in embarrassment. I couldn't let him pay for me again.

" Oh. Well you don't have to worry about that. This is my treat. Really. " Bryan opened the door for me and waited for me to go in.

Not knowing what to do, I walked into Starbucks and the smell of coffee instantly hit me.

And my stomach growled exactly at that moment.

Way to go, Alice.

I blushed as Bryan, who was laughing hysterically, came behind me.

" What could I get you? "

I looked up and saw the blonde at the counter who was obviously checking Bryan out as he studied the menu.

" Uh... I'll have the caramel macchiato please, oh and with whipped cream. " I stifled the giggle that was escaping my lips. Guess I'm not the only one who found Bryan handsome eh?

" I'll have the latte please. And could you add in a cheesecake? "

" Right away sir. " The blonde gave Bryan a wide smile, obviously trying to flirt with him.

" You do like cheesecake right? "

" Huh? " I looked at Bryan, confused. " Oh, yeah. Cheesecake's my favorite actually. "

" Really? That's the first time I've heard a girl say this. Whenever I want to order cake for them, the girls I've hanged out with I mean, they always gives me the look as if eating a cake could kill them. "

" Oh, don't start. I have way more experience than you dealing with those kinds of girls. " Rolling my eyes, I remembered this girl called Angela in fifth grade, when I gave her a piece of cake, actually " tried " to give her a piece , she slapped the cake off my hand and accused me of wanting to kill her.

I don't get them at all. I seriously do not get them.

" Guess you do have more experience than me, Alice. " Bryan smirked at me.

At that moment, I realized I just said out all my thoughts.

Shit.

" Haha...yea... " Why do I keep embarrassing myself in front of Bryan?

" Oh, our coffees ready. " Bryan brushed pass me and grabbed our orders. We found a place at the corner, beside the window.

" Thanks for the coffee and the cake. " I smiled at him.

I took a bite and soon, I was in utter bliss. It was so good.

" Your welcome. Your satisfied smiles makes my day. "

I grinned at him and took another bite.

" Bryan? " He looked up at me.

" Yes? "

" Why did you do that to me? Confessing to me and then breaking my heart. " I said in a small voice. I looked at my cake and I could see his knuckles turning white and his muscles tightening.
