The pain and grieve showed in his eyes as he looked at me. Those eyes, held so much pain and sadness, and unknowingly, tears were rolling down my cheeks. I managed to catch up to him, but it might be better if I didn't.

"Do you still love him? " He asked, his voice barely a whisper. I could sense so much hurt and betrayal held in his voice. I never wanted to do this to him.

I shook my head. Tears were rolling down at a constant rate and I slumped down against the wall. " I don't know. " I said, looking him in the eye now. " I don't even know what's going on in my mind anymore, but I never, ever wanted to hurt you. "

" You already did. " His voice, cold and harsh. The pain was overwhelmed by anger and I looked into his once warm and kind eyes but now cold and lonely. " Go to him. "

A sob escaped and I looked at him with pleading eyes. A tear rolled down his cheek and with that, he turned his back and walked away.

I wanted to run, chase after him, tell him I was wrong. But I couldn't. My legs weren't moving, my whole body felt numb. I just slumped against the wall and watch him leave, without doing anything. I bought my knees to my chest and stayed there, in my personal space.

Maybe, my life was better off without love. That way, there would be no betrayal, hurtful feelings or regrets. If love was this cruel and harsh, I wouldn't want it. I wouldn't ever, want to fall in love again.

" You did what now? " Ellie shouted through the phone.

" I said-"

" I know what you said! " She shouted, cutting me again. This was like the fifth time in a row already."Your dating Bryan? The Bryan? And what's more, he was the one who said I love you? "

" Uh...yea? "

" This is like the best thing that's happened to you, so why aren't you happy? "

" I don't know. " Lying on my bed, I stared at the ceiling. " I don't even know if I made the right choice. If he leaves me, I won't find it surprising though. I'm not some cheerleader, or some Victoria secrets model. "

" Hey, your beautiful in your own way. If he leaved you for something like that, then he wasn't the one to begin with. "

I smiled. Count on Ellie to make me feel better.

" And even if he does, I'll still beat the shit out of him and tell him to go fuck some other-"

"Okay, okay I get it! " I take what I said back. I did not want to find out about his love life. Hell, I didn't want to find out about anyone's love life.

" So, can I tell Jason? "

" Sure, whatever. But only Jason. " Knowing Ellie, she has got the mouth as big as a...what's that word?

" Gee, thanks for the praise. " Ellie said, sarcasm in her voice.

" Yes, yes you did, Alice. "
