Yellow Clouds

It was abit chilly.

I opened my eyes and all I saw was light yellowish clouds, stretching out as far as the eye can see. I look down at myself, I looked amazing. Not a flaw on my skin, my hair was smooth and wavy and reached my waist.

I was also not naked, I had a white cotton gown on.

Wait a second....am I dead!?

I look around myself one more time, trying to get my bearings, but I can't seem to remember...anything...

Who am I?

I'm...a girl.

Obviously.

I sarcastic girl, I think to myself cynically. Good to know there's one thing about me I'll never forget.

"Hmmm," I look around, all I see were yellow clouds...yellow clouds everywhere. "Where the heck am I?"

I start to walk, maybe if I walk a couple of clouds down I'll see a fairy kingdom in the sky that I can live in and be their queen.

Oh, so I also that a wonderful sense of imagination? Good to know.

But I walked for an equivalent of 5 miles and still no fairy kingdom...not even a dust bunny. Somewhere in my mind I knew I should be getting tired...but I wasn't. I wasn't even energetic...I felt nothing. I reach over to pinch myself...nothing, I stomp on my own foot...zilch.

Okay, things were really getting way beyond creepy right now.

"Where am I?"

*******************************************************************

So far I think an equivalent of a day had gone by, but I was neither hungry or tired or sleepy. I sit on a cloud, next to a cloud, leaning onto a cloud in front of a cloud.

That is a pretty accurate location Vicky my girl, I think mockingly.

Wait, Vicky! My name is Victoria!

I jump up in excitement. I remembered something!

What was the last part of my name?

Victoria...Vic-to-ri-aaaaaa...

Arg! I can't remember!

"Fizzy poppers!" I hold my head in frustration, if only I could remember one thing....just one God dang thing.

I slide back to the ground and look around in desperation, trying to see something that would trigger my memories back, but all I see was goddamn yellow!

I stopped myself from shrieking out in frustration and take a clam breathe, "Remember the Oogway quote mom always loved 'Your mind is like water, when it is aggravated it becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle...the answer becomes clear'"

The answer...

Mom! Dad!

As my mind steadied the faces of my beloved parents came swimming in my mind. It was a wonderful, welcomed sight and feeling. I smile in smug pride as the brown letter H materializes in my head right after them.

Howard...

My last name is Howard.

I stand up tall and fist my hand, "My name is Victoria Howard."

I look out at the yellow cloud, with new found determination, I will get through this, I will solve this and figure out who I am and what I was doing here. I squint my eyes as something else comes back to me.
