That Was Strange

I moaned from the tapping sun-light against my face, wondered  how long I'd been sleeping. I blinked, shut my eyes, blinked again. With a mental sigh I allow my brain to focus and cautiously open one eye. The bright spring sunlight cuts the room in half and I see dust-motes dancing in the wall of light. I pull the duvet up over my head to keep it out. It's not going to work, my brain is awake now and already worrying about today.

I yawned, managed to fully open both eyes.The sun peeked in my bedroom window, lighting my hair like a fiery halo. I lifted my head from the pillow, my curly hair tumbling down my back like a waterfall. The suns vibrant rays sent a glossy, gold sheen all around the room, blending with the  blooming flowers of spring. The sound of the rhythmic waves tumbling in the surf brought a peaceful hymn to my ears, as I opened my window to engulf the cool New York breeze. I closed my eyes yet again, the suns waking rays warming my body.

I got up, with a strange feeling in my gut. Not knowing whether or not it was from yesterday's lasagna, or that fact that I received a C on my paper and my professor gave him his number.

I needed to take a bath. The hot water stream collides into my skin, releasing tension. I close my eyes, and the hot steam envelopes my body.

I almost gagged from the amount of shampoo that ended up in my mouth.

My fingers met my long hair, dancing into the mess it was, ridding it of the knots time had given. I dragged the soap over my body, the action soothing my skin.

As I wash the shampoo suds off me, the water sending them in little streams down my back.  The response was immediate, the metallic head that hung loosely above her spread water unto my body, the sudden shock making my tense muscles.

The water slowly warmed me, soothing the ache that clawed at my limbs.

The soap caressing my neck like kisses, running along my body. The irresistible warm water rains onto my skin, making it silky, soft and beautiful. The water so fresh, cleaning my skin till clear and smooth.
