[A/N: Hello again....here is chapter 16. Hope you like it! ^_^ Thank-you so much for reading Iris it means soooo much to me! Hope you are all well!]
This competition was getting harder and harder on me physically and mentally. I was going to make it though. The days were going faster now, than they had before. It was only day twelve and yet I felt like I had been here for an eternity. I couldn’t imagine my life outside of the competition. My normal school days or doing maths assignments were all like a distant memory. I never thought that I would actually miss school. I mean, I didn’t hate school but as I have said before, I wasn’t very popular, at all.
“Iris, you actually have to step with the music, just a little hint.” Tristan laughed as he drew me in closer. I had completely forgotten that I was at practice and Tristan just happened to be my dance partner. I still couldn't understand Tristan. Was he a good guy or not? I mean he did seem to be nice to me but Chris had also warned me about him.
“Shut up, I’m just thinking.” I mumbled.
“About Blade?” Tristan asked, raising an eyebrow. “You know he is bad news right? He’s dangerous.”
“Tristan, its sweet you are thinking about me, if that is what you are worrying about but I already know about the company. I know everything.” I explained taking a deep breath. It was still a little hard to believe that the Deans could be such an unsafe family even though they seemed so normal.
“Everything? Who told you?” Tristan sputtered.
“Blade.”
“Oh,” Tristan’s hand loosened on my waist a little as if in defeat or something. “I see.”
“I still can’t figure you out Tristan.” I gave him a small smile.
“That makes two of us.” Tristan tried to laugh but I could see through it. There was something behind the arrogant exterior, was Tristan alone? Was Tristan like Alison, misunderstood and scared? Before I could think of an answer myself I was twirled into the arms of Chris.
“Chris!” I gasped.
“Um…hi Iris. How’s it going?” Chris asked with a smile. I didn’t mean to freak him out, I just wasn’t with it today, it seemed.
“Sorry, yeah I’m alright, you?” I said, trying to make conversation. I just wanted to go to bed. There was way too much drama in my life to handle in one day.
“Pretty good, I heard about Sabrina. So did those guys over there…” Chris drifted off as he titled his head in the direction of the corner. Huddled in a corner were a bunch of guys, known as the ‘Sabrina Admirers’. The Sabrina Admirers were, just like Tristan had said, crying. It was kind of refreshing to see guys crying once in a while. It just proved that anyone can be sad and it’s not un-manly to shed a few tears.
“Oh those poor guys but I’m sure they will see her again, right?” I said hopefully. If the admirers got to see Sabrina again that meant I got to see her again as well.
“I don’t know honestly. I’m sure the Deans have something spectacular to finish off this whole competition so don’t lose faith in that. How is this competition treating you anyway?” Chris asked with general curiosity as he gave me a small spin.
“It’s treating me well…it has its moments I guess.” I said truthfully. This competition was a big part of my life right now, although it wasn’t always good it wasn’t always bad either.
“I guess that nothing can be too great otherwise, things that seem great won’t even be noticed.” Chris replied.
“Wow, that’s pretty deep there.” I laughed.
