CHAPTER TWELVE

Kasalukuyan na akong inaayusan sa kwarto ko dahil maya maya lang, maeengage na ako. Nagtataka siguro kayo kung bakit di ako nagprotesta. Ayun lang naman ay dahil sa alam kong wala na akong magagawa. Matutuloy to sa ayaw ko man o sa ayaw ko. So, i don't bother. My father's decision won't change.

Kahit panay ang puri sakin ng mga make up artists i still can't see a reason to be happy.

Nakasimangot parin ako hanggang sa pinababa nadin ako. Daddy's waiting for me at the edge of the stairs. He shoot me with an apologetic look. Dad, why did you do this do me? Sana sila kuya nalang. I thought i was your treasure. I sadly look back at him.

"I'm sorry baby but matagal na tong nakaplano. I didn't tell you early because i know you will freak out at lalayo ang loob mo sakin. Don't worry, alam kong aalagaan ka din ng inaanak ko and you will see the good side of these."

I didn't speak. I didn't say even a single letter. Gusto kong manahimik nalang dahil baka kung ano pa ang masabi ko. I honestly hate my dad now for doing this to me but i can't protest for his decisions. His decisions is our law and we should obey.

"Is that you Louise?" An old man approach us when we finally reach the crowd. "You've grown a beautiful lady sweety." He look like someone. I just can't figure it out.

I snapped at my thought when dad call me.

"Thank you sir." I politely said.

"Call me dad because soon you'll be my daughter."

So anak nya pala ang papakasalan ko?

I plastered a fake smile. Call you dad? Sir, that must be too advance. Or maybe not.

How would i still enjoy my life after this day? How would i enjoy being youth? Muli, naiiyak ako sa alalahaning yun.

Inawan na ako nila daddy sa isang table at umakyat na sila sa taas ng stage.

"Your beautiful tonight babe." Napatalon ako sa gulat when i felt a hot breath hit my bare neck. Pero mas nagulat ako ng mapagsino ito.

"Joshua? What are you doing here? Are you invited?"

Nagtaka ako dahil nakaupo din pala sya sa table na pinag iwanan sakin ni dad. Actually kaming dalawa lang dito at ang mas ipinagtataka ko, anong ginagawa nya dito? Isa din ba sya sa anak ng mga business associate ni dad?

"I told you, we will see each other soon."

I rolled my eyes. "Not as soon as tonight."

"Ladies and gentlemen. Tonight, we will witness the engaging of my daughter and the son of my business partner. And also to celebrate the merging of  Pranco Empire and De Gusman Corporation."

De Gusman Corporation?  Don't tell me.....

"So let me introduce you my lovely daughter, Louise Angelic Pranco and the son of Mr. Henry De Gusman, Joshua De Gusman."

This- This will never be true.

"Take my hand fiancée." sa pagkabigla, di ko namalayang nakayuko na pala sya sa harapan ko at nakalahad ang kamay.

So this is what he talking about? Na baka kami pala ang destined for each other? Alam nya na sa umpisa palang?
