I'm not a "team player"

  I absolutory hated this. Other than the satisfaction of having my chair back, I absolutely HATED this ship. AND everyone on it. It took 45 minuets to reach starling city. And not one second on that ship, had I talked. And I love talking. But the second I would open my mouth Jinx would look back at my while SHE SAT not next to wally. But on Wally's lap. ...I couldn't possibly take one more turn of her glance! I don't know how I could live for 45 minuets without talking! We landed on top on an abandoned building in the glades a few streets away from the drug deal. All I wanted to do was get this thing over with. And then go back to my REAL home and just sleep. Sleep all my problems away. And maybe when I wake up, my problem would be gone. This included that stupid black cat crossing my path. Jinx. Just the idea of it sounded so heavenly. Until my bubble was popped when Connor told me we were getting off the ship.

 The ship was in cameo mode. I pull out my bow from its holder, and grip it in my hand. My knuckles turned white every time Jinx talked though. That thing about her voice was so true. "M'egan." I said, finally speaking. They all looked at me shocked since I said a word. "Telepathic link." I say tapping on my own head. "Right." she nods her head. In my mind I can hear her voice. "Link established." I hear. "Alright, remember. We're just observing." Aqua lad reminded us. He looked at me again when he said that. I roll my eyes. "You guys ask like IM the one who's going to screw things up." I said out load. They start coafing sarcastically. "Shut up." I whisper. The mission was just 2 streets down. It was now 12:14 at night, and let me tell you, it was COLD. I was almost shivering although it was only 63 degrees tonight. I like to be exact. M'egan floated down to the alleyway. "Wish I could fly." I whisper. Wally turns his head at me and smiled. I think he heard me. Next Jinx and Aqua lad jumped down. And then Wally and Superboy. And then Robin. I look down over the ledge. I don't think I told anybody I was a bit afraid heights. But I wasn't going to look like a wimp so I jump down gracefully on the dumpster lid, and jump off that. I look at the ground that I was standing on. Wait, how did I get here again? I look up at the team staring at me again with smiles on their faces. "What?" I ask crossing my arms. "Nothing." the whispered at once. "Alright, I'm going to go invisible." M'egan added. And with that it's like she disappeared. But we knew she was still with us. "Lets make our way down south  street." Connor directed. We walk in a line almost. Wally walked next to me. I look over to him. I didn't  say anything, or think anything because everyone could hear me. But I don't think they could read our eye language. He just smirked at me. I roll my eyes and look forward. I shift my body to the right, knocking into him (on purpose). I smirk back at him as we continue to walk along the side walk. The next thing I know he knocked into me. I shove into him again, and then he repats this to me. We start laughing a bit until I was shoved powerfully into the wall in the alley way. But it was not wally. It was jinx. she walks next to him taking my place. My gaze at him softens as he walks on. Without me. He looked back at me and through our eye langue he apologized. I sigh and look back at the ground and continue to walk on. He need to stop apologizing and just make her stop! I walk next to robin. "Sorry about that." he whispered. I considered robin a close friend. And there was a very small group of those. "I don't care." I look at the ground trying to act like concrete. "But you do." he stared at my eyes. I grip my bow harder. I didn't want to talk about it.

 A couple minuets later we were a street from the lonely building. It's windows were either cracked, broken, or boarded up. The alley way was dark. And we could barley see. "I can't see anything with my goggles, even if I zoom in."  Wally thought frustrated. "We need a closer look."  M'egan agreed. Silently we darted across the street and leaned against the building. Jinx looked through a space between a few boards. "There's too many guards, how are we going to get a better view of the purchase?" she whispered. The group didn't say or think anything. I look over to the side of the building and see a fire escape to the 2nd story window. I walk towards it. Wally grabs my arm. "What are you doing?"  My eyes look to the stairs behind him. He looks to them to and then back at me with a smirk on his face. I look down at his hand on my arm. Quickly he releases his grip on me and blushes. Quietly they all go up the steps as I follow behind. "Now what?" Jinx asked frustrated. I look up at the roof just out of our reach. Superboy, super jumped onto it, and M'egan and her stupid flying powers got her on the roof. That only left Wally, Jinx, Robin, Aqua Lad and I. But super boy had already lifted up small robin with his muscular arms. Boy was M'egan luckily. Because I could go on and on about that boy. Aqua lad used water pressure to get him to the top. Now that left Jinx, Kid Idoit, and I a bit wet. Maybe if I shot an arrow... Just then I grab and arrow and knock it into its holder. With 3 fingers I pull the string back swiftly. "What are you doing you looney toon?" Jinx asked confused. Just then I shoot the arrow with a long thin black rope to the other end. It makes an A line and lands on the roof. "Nice gob Arty." Robin grinned. I smile a bit at the nick name but try to act like I had hated it. I climb the rope and lean against the wall as superboy helps me at the top. I reach out to Jinx's hand. I know she was annoying but I wasn't trying to be mean. She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "Fine." I whispered, instead reaching my hand out to wally. He grabbed it and I lifted him up. Maybe I was stronger than I thought. We look down at jinx. She except Wally's hand. He lifted he up onto the roof. she stared at me like I was crazy when she reached the top. Like it was insane that I had literally reached out to her. She was right though, that was. As if I would help HER. We cross our arms and turn our back on each other facing the other way. "Lets just go." Wally rolled his eyes.

 There was a small shack with a door on it the would lead to the second floor. We open the door and stare at the small metal, spiral staircase. "I'll do it." M'egan assured us as went down the stairs in her Cameo mode. Wally turns his suit into cameo mode too, which made it black. Honestly he looked attreactive in either color. I start to realize I was staring. "I see you staring." he smirks at me. "Get over your self! I was just staring at your logo." I argue in my thoughts. I see his dimples show. I want to kiss him right now. Shut up Artemis! "Cost is clear." M'egan informs us. All of us Silently slip down into the second floor. We remain silent. The second floor over looked the first. Down there was Black beetle, and his guards standing. Waiting for something. "Why are we wasting time, why can't you just shoot one of your arrows and blow this place up."  Jinx crosses her arms. "Because that's not necessary." I reply. "Were here to observe Ms.Jinx. Not to intervene." Aqualad looks at her. "Your  right, armeties couldn't do it anyway."  she says staring at the guards. I clench my jaw. "What's that suppose to mean?"  I glare at her. She just shrugs. "I'm saying you would just mess the mission up as usual." She grins. "Excuse me!?"  "Artemis, stop!" Wally begs. I look at him holding back every ounce of liquid in my eyes. "No wally, I'm just DYING to hear what your girlfriend thinks about me!" I yell inside my mind. "How many times do I have to tell you, she's not my girlfriend." he sighs. "OH, so your friends with benefits, is that it!?" "NO..." "Actually, wall man here is my boyfriend." she smiles putting her hand on his shoulder. I look to Wally confused. "No...I-I"  he panics."Yeah, spit it out 'wall man' !" "Why do you care, are you jealous?"  "I'm not jealous!" Everyone looks at me like they wanted to choke me, I think I blew our cover. "Uggggg, Artemis!" they all whisper. We look down and make eye contact with black beetle. "I'm sorry." I whisper. "Thank emerald idiot, you blew our cover." jinx whispered crossing her arms. "Stop acting like your apart of the team." I glare at her. There was no use in crouching anymore so instead I stand up and grab a minor explosive arrow. I shoot it in the middle of the 1st floor. In a matter of seconds a small explosion implodes. We cough at the smoke. But as the smoke cleared Black beetle was gone. "Nice going Artemis." Robin complains. In the corner of my eye I can see someone coming up the stairs. I reach for another arrow until wally runs up behind the guard and hits him with his own gun, knocking him unconscious.  "I know you want to help, but its better if you don't."  Wally looked at me seriously. I bite my lip and look at the ground. I was embarrassed. "Told you, she would screw something up." Jinx looked at the team. I sigh. Is that what everyone thought? That I was the one that screwed things up? If anything it would either be wally or robin who messed up the mission. When have I ever messed up a mission? I mean...other than right now. The team walked past me again giving me disappointing glances. I didn't even want to make eye contact. Again robin put his hand on my shoulder. "Forget them, I know you tried." he comforted me. "Tried? You mean screwed up?" I grip my bow harder walking away. I don't know what they wanted from me? To stand here!?!? I followed them down the stairs. It's not in my character to stay quiet...like EVER. I always have something to say. But today...I kind of just want to curl up in a ball a die. Maybe I'm just not a team player. "I'll have to tell the league." M'egan said. I know wally was looking at me. But after what he said I can't even make eye contact.
