Artemis and walked throughout the halls of HQ, stopping in front of the souvenir room for some reason.

My eyes couldn't help but wonder to her. Her suit had a few scrapes on it and holes that she would have to have stitched. Her hair was slightly tangled, and her face someone flushed. Nevertheless, in my eyes, she was a Goddess. Her beauty was radiant even after traveling through time it seemed.

"Thank you Wally." she said suddenly, snapping me out of my thoughts of her. I blinked once or twice confused at why she was saying such things.

She turned to me now, her eyes as dark and deep as when I first met them. The depth caused me to choke up slightly.

"You got us home..." she explained. I felt my cheeks tinge slightly. I turned my head elsewhere considering I couldn't look at her for long.

My hand moved to hers, gracing her fingertips in mine.

"No, we did it," I answered her, looking up to her. Artemis batted those long eyelashes of hers, staring at me as the corners of her mouth tinged up.

As if I was tired, my eyes began to become heavy, my body forcing itself to lean into her slowly... to test the waters.

Artemis didn't resist either as she leaned in slowly as well.

At once, our lips touched softly. Our hands intertwined, as my other hand met her waist to pull her to me furthermore. It had been so long I had been waiting for this. I couldn't deny, there was plenty of times I wanted to do this, just pull her to me and kiss her. But none of those moments could compare to this, how they played out in my head.

We had been through hell and back together time and time again, all for this. And somehow I still couldn't get enough.

My hands moved to her face as her arms draped over my shoulders as if this was all natural.

We made it home... I made it home with my Spitfire.

Thank you all so much for supporting this story, sadly it has finally come to an end. It was a wonderfull Journey. Thank you.
