It's been 4 hours. And I'm still sitting in my room, leaning against the door. "SGUHLGRR." my stomach growls. Maybe I should get something to eat, I mean, can I really sit here for ever? Although I had been trying my hardest to convince myself I would never have to leave this room again, my ass hurt. Deep down I knew at some point I would have to get something. Like, I don't know... STUFF I NEED TO SURVIVE!!! I decide to get up since everyone was practicing. But the gym was literally right down the hall. Maybe...I could just sneak across to the kitchen. I thought about it for a minuet. This could be risky from my room. I disliked social interaction right now. Or in general, But I was starving. I decided to stand up. I grab my phone and check if there was any messages. None. I had no friends. I grab the door nob and open it to see wally with his fist in the air. I guess he was about to knock. "He-hey, Ar-Artemis." he stuttered. I glared at him. "Move wally." I growled crossing my arms. "Actually..." he said putting his hand on his neck shyly. "I was wondering if you could show Jinx around?" he asks me. That's funny. "Why I should I do it? You're her boyfriend." I mutter budging into him as I walked into the kitchen. "No, I'm not." he hissed. I reach up into the cabinet and grab the bag of chips while setting my phone on the counter. "Whatever." I mumble with food in my mouth. "So would you?" he asked me with his smile that made the girls swoon. I wasn't falling for it no matter how cute he was. "No." I said bluntly walking back into my room with the chips. "Wait Ar..." he says, but I had already shut the door. He's her boyfriend. He can be her tour guide. Or someone who actually lives here! Honestly, I didn't really care. Nor did I care if they were together. It's just...she's doesn't seem right for him. Maybe its her pink hair, or how she looks like Halloween just smacked her upside the head, but either way, they don't go together well. Its like sugar and garlic. Water and oil. They don't mix very well. Well, then again, I'm one to talk. I sighed sinking in front of my door. Is she going to live here or something? I thought this was a one time thing. I began to listen into to the hallway. I think Wally went back to the gym. I stare at my clothes. I was still in my 'pajamas'. I found my black tank top and green shorts very comfy. And my hair was in a ponytail as always. Just then I remember, I left my phone on the counter. Dang it! I hit myself in the head. Now I have to leave this haven? This safe captivity from the pain of the outside world? But I had to ask myself. 'Was my phone really worth the risk of being interacted with? '. Like every other teenager on earth would say, the answer is yes.
I get up again and stare at my door nob. Quietly I place my hand over it and slightly turn it to the right. Opening the door a crack, I could hear the team training down the hall, in the gym. Slowly I step one foot out the door and glance at my phone, so many steps away. As soon as I take another step Canaries calls my name. Literally. I think Dinah was on that time of the month again... If she still even has it anymore. "Artemis!" she shouted. I look at her. She was crossing her arms, and if she wasn't, the guys would be staring at her chest. Behind her Aqua Lad and Super Boy were tackling each other. They were just sparing. Although they glanced at me too. I look back over to my phone. I was so close, but so far. "Come here. Everyone's here except you." she said with a smirk. I sigh. "Wally needs a sparing partner." she smirks at me. "Perfect." I say under my breathe.
Wally spins around and smirks at me. "Maybe she can learn some new moves." he said brushing the imaginary dust off his shoulders. I try to hide my anger but I'm guessing I look red. I wanted to punch him in the face. Like every other time he talked. And I didn't matter if it was on that matt or off it. I grit my teeth. "What? Too scared?" he teased me. "Your asking for it west!" I glare at him. "Yes, yes I am." he snickered. I curl my fingers into a fist making my fingers crack.I'm sure if Superman himself saw me right now, he wouldn't want to even mess with me. But Wally did. He liked to challenge me. But he was asking for it. So instead of grabbing my phone I walk up right next to him. His emerald eyes stared at mine with a smile on his face. I stare back at him. "Aqua lad, never use the same move twice." Dinah corrected him. "Superboy, nice job." she smiled. Her head turned to us. "Wally, Artemis. Your up." she looked at us.
