"Do you guys wanna meet up for coffee later?" I asked while we were all waiting for our moms to come get us.
"Sure" they said as my mom pulled up.
When I got in the car my mom asked all the normal questions about the first day of school.•<>•<>•<>•
"Over here" I heard then walked over to Mia and Georgia who were sitting at a little around table.
When I got closer I noticed that they both already had their drinks and Mia had a muffin.
"I will go get mine" I said before turning around to get it.
When I got up there I rung the little bell.
"One second" I heard a voice from the kitchen call out.
Then a beautiful tall girl walked out with a beanie and a apron on over her clothes.
"Can I get your or-" she stopped when she looked up and saw me.
"Jaycee?!" I asked.
"Lydia?!" She asked back before pushing the little door and walking around the counter.
I couldn't help myself, I ran up and hugged her.
Then I let go, "sorry"
"Don't be, I'm excited to see you too" she said walking back around the counter, "what do you want?"
"Um what do you recommend?" I asked leaning forward on the counter looking up at the menu.
"I like the caramel frappe" she said smiling at me.
"That's what I will have" I said.
She turned around and started making it then handed it to me.
I went to hand her money but she stopped me, "it's on the house".
I smiled and took it, "thank you" I said,
"Can you talk for a minute?" I asked gesturing towards a table.
"For you, yes" she said walking over to the table.
We sat down.
"How have you been?" She asked.
"Pretty good, I started school today" I said taking a drink of my drink, "what about you?"
"Okay I guess, I started back to college about a week ago, I'm in a fraternity" she said.
"I thought frats were for guys?" I asked
"They made an exception because of all my awesomeness" she said pretending to do a hair flip.
"It's nice to know you're humble" I said with a smile.
"It's hard to be humble when you're as great as me" she said with a smirk, "I'm surprised you're so humble".
"Why?" I asked.
"Because, you're so great" she said reaching across the table and grabbing my hand while rubbing it with her thumb.
I looked down at our hands for a second then snatched my hand away when I heard Georgia behind me,
"Wow" she said.
"You didn't tell me you were here with your friends" Jaycee said.
"Oh she didn't?" Georgia said.
"Whatever, we are going shopping" Mia said as her and Georgia stomped off."Shit man, you weren't invited to shop!" She said acting like she actually gave a damn.
"It's okay, I would prefer spend time with you anyway" I said with a smile.
She smiled and looked down at the table with a smile.
"JAYCEE" a middle aged lady says walking out from the kitchen, "YOU NEED TO GET TO WORK!"
"Yes ma'm" Jaycee said standing up and walking into behind the counter then she turned back to me, "what are you doing Friday?" She asked.
"I'm free after school" I said.
"You can't skip school for me?" She asked.
I thought for a minute and I guess she noticed and let out a laugh, "oh my gosh, I'm kidding. It seems like you need to go, to learn what sarcasm is".
"Shut up" I said walking over to the counter, "here's my number" I grabbed the marker they use to write the names on the cups and scribbled it down on a napkin then handed it to her.
Then as I went to walk away she called after me, "It was great seeing you again Lydia"
"It was great seeing you again Jaycee"
