When we made it to the cooler there was nothing but alcohol,
She looked through it then looked back up at me, "There's no soda in here but we can go check the kitchen"
"It's fine Jaycee"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm sure"
She smiled at me for a moment so I smiled back, then she grabbed her a beer.
Then we heard a scream "JAYCEE" and we both jumped then turned around.
When I saw her she looked just a pretty as I remember.
"Ally" Jaycee walked over and hugged her.
"Lydia? Is that you?" She said letting go of Jaycee and walking over to me.
She threw her arms around me and squeezed.
"It's nice to see you Ally, I'm just surprised your mom would let you come to a party after what happened"
"I'm surprised your parents let you come at all. Did you lie to them?"
I shook my head no. That makes for three lies in one night.
"Oh well I had to lie to my mom and say I was spending the night at a friends house.
Jaycee tapped my shoulder and whispered in my ear, "I'm going to go find Jerry, have fun catching up with Ally." Then she pecked me on the cheek.
"Let's go get a drink" Ally said after Jaycee walked away.
So we headed towards the back door.
"Ya know I always heard that preachers kids were supposed to be rebellious and you never were but now I see it"
"What do you mean? I'm not even drinking" I said as we made our way outside and she turned around with her shining smile that I always envied because whenever she flashed that smile, anyone fell for her.
"Come on Lydia" she lightly punch me on the arm, "you don't have to lie to me, it's clear" then she walked some more so I assumed we were heading towards the tiki hut where there was a guy making margaritas for people.
"Ally, what are you talking about??" I asked and she stopped and turned around.
She rolled her eyes, "it's not hard to tell that you're hooking up with Jaycee"
I felt my heart stop, "w-what?! I'm not hooking up with Jaycee"
"Oh really? And now are you going to tell me that your not even gay?"
"But Ally I'm not gay!"
She put her hands together, "look Lydia I saw you with her when you first met, you were clearly hypnotized by every word she said. Now seeing you with her tonight you two look like two love birds" then she put a hand on my shoulder, "There is nothing wrong with being gay Lydia, just accept it"
