"I had fun tonight" she said as we pulled in front of my house.
"So did I, maybe we could hang out again sometime"
"I wouldn't have it any other way" she said with a smile, "call me whenever"
I nodded then got out of the car.
"Bye" she said as I closed the door, then waved as she pulled off.
When I got in the door my mom was standing there, "Did you have fun?"
"Yeah it was pretty fun"
"What did you guys go do?"
"We went to one of her friends birthday parties" not a complete lie.
"Oh" she raised an eyebrow, "there wasn't any alcohol was there?"
"Oh yes mother, I am totally drunk right now"
"That's not funny Lydia" she said shaking her head.
I just saluted her then walked up to my room purposely not walking straight.
When I got up stairs I got out my phone and texted Mia and Georgia,
Meet me at the park tomorrow around eleven!
Then I laid down on my bed and just soaked up the past two hours while smiling like an idiot.

When I got the park they were both swinging on swings and holding smoothies.
"Finally" Georgia said looking up at me.
"Guess what I did last night!" I said approaching them.
"What?" Mia asked.
"Guess!" I snapped.
She rolled her eyes but Georgia answered, "killed a man?"
"No" I replied.
"Robbed a bank?" Mia replied.
"You guys are bad at guessing" I said smiling then I went and sat in the swing next to Georgia, "I went to a party"
"Like a church gathering?" Mia asked.
"No like a frat party" I said.
Georgia laughed.
"Sure, and I ate dinner with Benedict Cumberbatch" Mia snapped back.
"I'm serious, I went with Jaycee"
"Who's that?" Mia asked.
Georgia spoke up "Wait, is that that weird girl you left us for at the coffee shop?"
"She isn't weird!" I said.
They both looked at each other then looked at me.
"Come on Lydia" Mia said, "you have to admit something is a bit off about her"
"Like what?" I asked.
"I don't know, maybe her sexuality" Georgia said.
"What?" I asked standing up.
"Look Lydia" Mia said, "I've only heard of one person named Jaycee, she was the girl who wore a suit to two years ago, she graduated with my sister!"
"That doesn't mean she's gay, and so what if she is" I said.
"Why do you keep defending her?" Mia asked standing up to eye level with me.
