"So you left us for Jaycee again?" Mia said closing her locker.
"I went to go ask her if she was actually gay" I replied.
"What did she say?"She sat back and took a breath, "you're a good kisser"
"Thanks, you're actually my first kiss"
"Awe, really?" She said brushing her thumb against my jawline.
"Shut up and kiss me again" she just grinned and then leaned in-"HELLO" Mia said snapping her fingers in my face.
"We didn't talk much but she said that she's not gay" I replied.
She just rolled her eyes, so Georgia started talking,
"This Friday I was thinking maybe we could hang out" she looked over at me, "unless you have plans with Jaycee"
"Sorry yeah we have a date" once I said it I prayed they didn't hear it, but I knew they did because they both stopped and my cheeks burned.
"Like that's what you call it ya know? Like if you are hanging out with someone you call it a date like it's not like a real date that like couples go on" I gulped, "you guys don't get it, I gotta get to class" then I rushed through a crowd of people. When Friday rolled around I was so excited to see Jaycee I couldn't stand it.
I told my mom I was staying the night at Georgia's.
"Okay honey, just be home by Sunday afternoon for youth group" she said while putting dishes in the cabinet.
"Okay well I'm just gonna walk to her house" I grabbed my phone and my backpack and made my way outside.
Jaycee was parked up the street.
When she saw me she smiled so I walked quickly to her car.
"Have I ever told you how cute you look in your uniform?" She said as I got there.
"I would have changed but I was ready to leave" I replied, getting in the passenger seat.
"So do you want to know where we are going or do you want a surprise?" She asked turning on her engine.
I took off my sweater and tucked it in my backpack then I looked at her and smiled, "Surprise me"
She pulled out onto the road, "Look at this! The preachers daughter is being spontaneous" she reached over and grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.
I didn't care where we were going, I just wanted to go because when I was with her I didn't care about people seeing us together. It was like the future wasn't important.
