[Shadow's POV]

I sighed and threw myself on my bed tiredly. Today has been an awkward and long day, hasn't it? I reached over and grabbed my iPod from the nightstand. I browsed through the playlist, looking for something good to listen to. In the end I decided to put it on shuffle.
«Monster - Meg and Dia»
Nope. I clicked skip.
«In the End - Linkin Park»
Nope. I clicked skip.
«First of the year - Skrillex»
I let it play for a while, but then I clicked skip.
«Romeo and Cinderella - Hatsune Miku»
What? I looked at my phone and the title 'Romeo and Cinderella' was plastered on top. I bet Silver or Amy put this in here. It has to be, who else would listen to some Japanese singing?
I was about to press skip, when the first line caught me by surprise.

"Please don't let my love become Juliet's story and end in tragedy. Take me far from here, that's all I'm asking."

Woah, meaningful shit. It's been a while since I've heard anything besides dubstep or metal. Hm. Imma let it play, couldn't be that bad, right?

"Good night mom and dad, I hope you have pleasant dreams tonight. It's about time for you adults to go to sleep."

My thoughts wonder back to what happened back at the park. I was about to confess to Ames about how much I loved her, then Sonic came out of no where. I dragged him off and was about to beat the shit out of him, but I ended up giving him a scarf. How does that even work?

"Enchanting but choking caramel. I cross my naked legs rather shyly. How far will we go tonight?"

It's him. Something about him that clouds my head. Something about those deep green eyes...his happy smile...his cocky and jumpy attitude...him.

"Please don't bite me like that, be gentle with me. I'm not used to bitter things like these yet. I'm sure it's because of all of mom's cakes that I've been eating. If something's unknown, you'd be curious about it. That's natural, right? Show me everything, that's the only time I'll let you see my [beep]."

Sonic the hedgehog. Cocky jock who's a good few inches shorter than me. Happy, jumpy, and athletic...and lazy at times. I remember the first day we - HE talked to me. I was what you call an outcast. Stayed away from everyone, hostile son of a bitch I was. Everyone kept their distance, all but a certain blue hedgehog.

"I've been longing like Cinderella, I'll run away bringing only my uniform. Let the magic stop the time before the bad guys interrupt us. I want to run away like Juliet, but don't call me with that name. Yes, that's right, we're to be bound. If we won't be, it wouldn't be any fun. Hey, you'll live with me. Isn't that right?"

He came up to my table, introducing himself, "Hey! I'm Sonic, consider me your new friend!" A big smile plastered on his snout. Ever since that day, he always came to my table - for 5 months straight - saying hi and trying to strike up a conversation.
"Hey Shadz! How ya doing dude? Did ya hear there's gonna be football tryouts after school? You should definitely try out with me!"
Every time I would ignore him, hoping that he would get the hint that I didn't want him near me. He never got it though.

"I'd applied some heavy mascara. I promise I'll be a good girl tomorrow. Right now, please forgive me for this... The borderline of black lace, no body's guarding it today... How far will we go beyond it?"

After a while, I started to enjoy his company. I admired the way he made an effort to talk to me, it was...sweet. I still didn't talk to him, but I didn't push him away either. He picked up the vibe and acted even friendlier to me, introducing me to Knuckles, Silver, and Tails. Nice crowd he hangs out with, all I have is Scrouge and his gang. I never talked to any, although I did get into a few fights with Knuckles at times. Hey, he was asking for the beating.
