Battle of the Gente Animali

The bird thief

Canis had a bit of a buzz ever since he left his house. He had never been this far into the forest before. He loved the trees, the leaves and the wind even the animals. He saw a little sparrow hopping around the roots of the trees. It made him happy to see some animals had escaped the cruel the fate of the black soldiers method of separating animals and Gente Animali. They walked a bit further then Canis looked back and realized that the same sparrow was following them. It then suddenly decided to fly off in front of them. Canis thought how stupid he was for thinking the bird was following them. They walked a bit further and Canis realized that there was a small objected flying towards them. It was the sparrow, Canis just ignored it but in ten seconds the sparrow was less than a metre away then suddenly the was a foot in is faced. Canis was sprawled on the ground his nose bleeding. He heard Ferre yell

"Hey get away from him." He lunged at the attacker but they just turned back into a bird and Ferre landed face first into the mud on top of Canis. Anne drew her dagger but was quickly tripped up and landed on her back. Canis wiped the blood from his face and saw the attacker. Standing behind Anne was a girl with flowing, blonde hair and deep, brown eyes. She took their bags and bolted left to the path. Canis wasn't going to let her get away with it. He had managed to get out from beneath Ferre. He turned into a dog and sprinted after her. He knew that she was disadvantaged, a sparrow would not be able to carry the weight of the bags. When he caught up with the girl she was already climbing a tree. Canis turned back into a human and was climbing up after her. she was already nimbly jumping along the branches and on to other trees. When Canis reached the top of the tree the girl was already way ahead. Canis tried his best to catch up with her but she was already out of sight. Canis couldn't think what else to do then it came to him he could track her by turning in to a dog and sniffer her out. Canis tight rope walked along branches changing in to a dog now and then to get her scent. Until he came to a hole in a tree just large enough to climb though. When he climbed the hole we has in a small round room. He saw the girl kneeling on the far side of the room looking at a picture.
