Mitchell's POV:
Landon walked into class late with another loud excuse similar to the day before. Then march to the back and plopped down next to me with a smile and wink. I was surprised by how beautiful she was even with the small bags under her eyes and chapped lips. She must not have slept well. Her hair was in a messy tangled braid that looked as though it was about to fall out. A notebook with a note written at the top was slid onto Landon's desk.
Party at Cassandra's house tonight! Sign your name if you're down :) Spread the word
A bunch of people names where written below including Jami's in pink pen. Landon leaned over and whispered in my ear.
"Cassandra is a girl that goes the the private school Brecken Ridge, I play her in field hockey sometimes, do you want to go?" I shrugged in response. "You could meet more people, I'll drive you if you want. Well, my brother could" I figured I could go, she seemed to want me too. I nodded.
"I have to ask my mom" I said, though I knew she would say yes. She smiled and wrote our names down then passed the notebook down. A few minutes later she got a text
From: Cassandra
To: Landon, Jamison, Mitchell... Etc.

I checked to see that my phone had the same message. How did this girl get my phone number?
The rest of the class went smoothly. The day was almost exactly like the day before. Everyone was gossiping about the party tonight. I didn't realize how big of a party it was until I heard some seniors talking about it in my engineering class.
The bell rang for school to get out and I walked to my locker with Emily, the girl I'd met yesterday, she talked about the party a lot. I saw Landon propped up against my locker smiling and talking to Noel cheerfully. When she saw me she waved.
"Hey Mitchell! Hey Emily!" She yelled across the hall. Emily responded with a polite hi and then told me she would see me at the party. I walked up to my locker, Noel looked at me with a head nod and then walked away.
"Hey" I said carefully
"Hey dude! Are you excited?" She asked
"Yeah seems like a chill party, everyone is going" I responded
"I know!! Okay anyways well pick you up at like 6:30 okay!?" She said and with that she was off down the hall running toward her brother Levi and her sister Aubrey with James following lazily. Levi looked at me. I hadn't talked to him yet, or really looked at him even. He had red curly hair and a massive amount of freckles covering his face. He didn't look like James or Landon at all. He was extremely tall, probably 6"4', and he had a really strong jaw line. The only resemblance was his eyes. They all had crazy blue eyes that where big and innocent and they were all extremely beautiful with the same soft laugh.
My mom came to pick me up and drive me home.
"Hey honey! How was your second day?" She asked kindly.
"Pretty good, I got invited to this party tonight by this girl Landon" I responded
"Landon, isn't that a boys name?" She asked
"I dunno, but her brother is gonna drive us at 6:30" I responded assuming she was going to let me go.
"Okay honey, be home before 1 am okay?" She responded. My mom was not usually this chill, but since we just moved she wants me to make new friends.
I shoved my earbuds in my ears and started listening to "One more chance" by The Notorious B.I.G.
My mom waves her hand infront of me. I pulled a headphone out and looked at her.
"Did you find out anything about hockey tryouts?" She asked probably for the third time.
"Oh no, but I know A kid that plays so maybe I could ask him tonight" I responded. She nodded and I shoved the earphone back in.
