Madison's POV:
Levi picked me up to go to the competition at 11:30am. I think that James game starts at 3pm so maybe I can go to both the competition and the game. But Levi gives me some information that buts a damper on my plan.
"Okay, the competition starts at 2pm I believe, and then award ceremony starts at 4pm" Levi stated. I got an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I knew that I had to decide between James game, and Levi's competition, which meant I would have to decide between Levi and James.
On one hand I've had a crush on James for years, he's super sweet and attractive but on the other, Levi is just amazing and fun and I feel like my true self when I'm with him. God I sound so cliché but I am totally, utterly, head over heels, in love with Levi.
"Are you okay?" Levi asked, probably noticing my silence. I nodded. He gave me a suspicious look be decided not to ask.
"Ayeeeee, maddii, leviiii, so glad to see you here!" Kyle said running up to greet us as we got out of the car.
"Hey!" I responded. Sierra came up and put her arm around me.
"Mind if I borrow her for lunch?" Sierra asked giggling as Olivia and Carly came up to join. Levi smiled and nodded as he began talking to the boys about whatever was about to go down.
"so where to for lunch girly?" Olivia asked. We really only had 3 onsite options, and we needed to stay nearby.
"Let's go to the Italian restaurant," Carly suggested.
"I'm sooo down for Italian" I agreed as we waddled over toward the restaurant. Olivia and I didn't have any snow gear on except our jackets while Sierra and Carly were fully decked out with helmets and all. The must have been warming up all morning.
"Thursdays conditions were the best this season so far but today's are pretty good" Carly said. We had all been here every day this past week, hanging out and prepping for today. On Thursday the conditions were great, Carly was right. We all nodded our heads in agreement as we stuffed our faces with pizza and spaghetti.
It was 1:30pm when I saw levi again. He was talking to John about what he was gonna throw down. John was nodding a lot and then showing Levi what he was doing wrong with a trick he was going to try.
"Hey boys!" I said excitedly as I walked up to them with Olivia by my side. The other girls had rode up the lift and we're waiting at the top for practice runs to start.
"Hey!" John responded.
"Good luck guys!" Olivia said hugging John tightly. He pecked her lips and then skated over to the lift. "Please don't hurt yourself!"
"Good luck Levi" I said shyly, after I realized I loved him this morning id been acting a little more awkward then usual. He hugged me and then followed john.
"I'm so excited!" Olivia giggled as we walked up the slope.
"Me too!" I responded.
We watched the practice runs that went down flawlessly. Both of us were allowed to go sit in the judges tent because Olivia knew the owner of the resort. We sat on the edge of our chairs biting out nails feverishly.
The announcer announced the rules for the competition and then it began. Each contestant got two runs and the judges would judge them based on there category. Levi was in the Amateur skiers ages 14-18. So were all of the other boys in the group. Sierra and Carly were in amateur girls snowboard. Levi had a slight advantage because he was near the top of his age category.
The first few people to go weren't anyone that I knew.
"Number 127, Kyle Spangler" the announcer boomed as Kyle flew down the slope. He did a few tricks on the rails that looked complex and then he skipped the first two jumps before sending a gainer off the third jump.
A few more people went including Ian and Thomas.
"Number 118, John Bolea" the announcer said Olivia grabbed my hand in anticipation. His run went down flawlessly.
Everyone was doing so well. Levi did amazing on his first run and he was about to do his second. Olivia and I ran down the slope so we could meet him at the bottom.
He threw a cork and a double backflip. When he landed his face lit up like a Christmas tree, he'd never landed it before. I guess he was feeling a little extra confident because after that he skied down and kissed me.
Everyone cheered and laughed.
I pulled away slowly and bit my lip looking up at him nervously. He smiled happily and then picked me up in a hug.
"You did amazing!!" I yelled excitedly.
The award ceremony was delayed a few hours because they wanted to do the awards for the other events all at the same time, so we decided to do a little skiing and then have dinner before the award which would be held at around 10pm.
