I've seen many people say that fanfiction is terrible mainly because it's "written by people who don't know grammar."

Let me just clarify that actual authors, that get their books professionally published, pay editors to check over their work. The author's actual drafts (without the editor) probably has a lot of typos and errors.

You gotta give independent/fanfic writers credit for being a one-man team and trying to self-produce their work.
