Asiya:

Being mean does NOT equal "funny."

The only type of people who think that being mean is funny are assholes aka bullies.

You know those shitheads who push you around at school and laugh at your frustration? Yeah, those are the types of people who think that being mean is humorous.

I don't understand why making several hurtful and shitty comments about literally everything is considered "funny," it just makes you a bitchy complainer. Seriously, you're just a bitch.

By the way, I know that all of us are human and we have opinions. And so, ranting is alright. You, of course, need to express your feelings and emotions in order to move on. Yes, it might hurt a few people, but they'll get over it one day.

The thing is, there is a difference....

Neccessary rants usually come in a few times.

But, if you just constantly make those hateful chapters about several different things that don't really effect you, then you're going to hurt a large variety of people.

"Why would people even do this?" You may ask.

My theory is that they probably want to make rants of anything and everything, just so they don't die down (that could be taken literally or metaphorically)

They want to make themselves feel better or they think that they're being funny.

They think: "Oh, I'm going to make a rant about 1D, saying that they suck and should kill themselves so people will think that I'm relatable and funny! But in real life, I don't really give two shits about them but I'm doing this because I'm so funny!"

or

"I'm going to hate on SAO because many people hate SAO and if I make a huge punny rant about SAO, then everyone will think I'm awesome and hilarious! In reality, I don't really give a fuck about SAO and it doesn't effect me so I don't hate it that much, but I'm doing this to be fUUNy"

I know that one person can't genuinely serverely hate so many things. Most of the time, the ranter doesn't even actually hate the thing that they're ranting about.

"How do you tell the difference between necessary rants and the bullies' rants?"

Again, "necessary" rants are usually seen a few times every once in a while.

And, they're usually reasonable.

The asshole rants are the ones that occur very often; about different subjects and it's by the same person. And it sounds ridiculous.

Here's an example,

"OH MY GOD. People who like curtains are so annoying. Like, we get that you like curtains! You don't have to rub it in! I'm more of a blinds person. So this message was to throw shade at dem curtain dicksuckers"

Okay, I know that this message can be a bit misunderstood. So, let me explain it clearly in a summary.

You can rant if it's necessary.

But you'll seem like a bitchy complainer is you rant about worthless things for the sake of not dying down or "to be funny."

So...the more you know about people or....yourself.

It actually took me a while to realize this. I was twelve when I started this account, and I thought that ranting was the shit because all of the popular authors ranted.

In all honesty, don't force yourself to rant and don't tell yourself to hate things for the sake of amusing people. Hatred and distastefulness does not feel satisfying.

I'M GUILTY OF THIS TOO, OKAY?
