Authors would write stories about their OCs dating Kirito--WHEN cLeArLy, he's in a relationship in the actual anime.

They either erase Asuna's existence in the story

or

Make Asuna a bitch so the OC will be victimized by her and Kirito will protect OC from devil Asuna.
