Can't believe I didn't think of this sooner! You're probably going to want to read through all of this. Because this is just a bunch of totally random things that can help you in the back to school area, that has to do with fandom stuff. So yeah, hope you like it- I was quite excited to write and share this with you! ~M
(If you have any questions, let me know. I'm going into grade 10, which is my first year of high school. I live in Canada, but only some schools are like that.)

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Paper Towns Notebook
Quick explanation:
-You take a notebook.
-You cut out a map to fit the front cover of your notebook and glue that map piece on.
(I suggest the use of a glue stick so it goes on smoothly.)
-Once the glue has dried, make a red thumbtack with paint or markers (whatever works best). Refer to the cover of the book, if you know what I mean.
-You can also quotes from the book if you would like.
Collage Notebook
Take a notebook and put a bunch of random things on it. Cut outs, printed photos, song lyrics, tumblr posts, memes or fandom references.
(I made one with band logos and another with printed photos of album covers.)
Riptide Pen
-clear capped pen
(the ones that are clear and have a end that you can remove, like Papermate)
-thin strip of paper
This is a bit harder to do and you need a specific pen.
Take the end out of the pen, as if accessing the inside. On a very thin strip of paper, write Riptide or whatever you want and slip it in the end. You may have to fold it and play around with it until it looks right. Then stick the end piece back in.
Alternatives
Alternatives to covering your notebooks in washi tape or paint...
-draw on a white piece of paper and glue it to the cover.
-use a marker to cover it.
-put paper in the front of binders if there is a spot.

MORNING ROUTINE tips
•Make a playlist of some of your favourite songs. That way, you can be timed by music. Ex: "I will be ready for school by the end of this playlist." Or "I will finish eating breakfast by the end of these few songs." You can personalize it so much. Another Ex: "Fridays will be Fall Out Boy mornings."
•Set your alarm to something you will respond to. Ex: Carry On My Wayward Son
(You can also put your alarm somewhere away from your bed so you have to get up to stop it.)

RANDOM tips
(These are just basic things to remember but I'm a horribly forgetful person, especially in the morning and during school hours.)

>Take the dust jacket/cover off of your books if you bring them to school, so they don't get wrecked.
>Don't leave your book in a class and forget it there. (What? Who would do that? Not like I've ever done that. Oops.)

>Do projects with passion! I find that I'm always looking for cool, interesting topics to do my school projects on and end up rushing and doing something more or less boring.
But it is the best when I can think of something fandom related to do my projects on. I find I enjoy it so much more. Ex: Last year, I did a math project involving Youtube views/subs. I also did many book related things in english class. (My Ig editing skills came in handy.)

>Casual Cosplay is always fun! It makes me feel better, as if I'm channeling the power of someone else. Plus, it makes me more likely to plan out an outfit the night before.

>Discover new music throughout the year. Because music is inspiring and we all love to find new obsessions, especially with bands. Some new music can actually get you through a lot. (As in those mornings where you physically cannot get out of bed or the work that really makes your head hurt thinking about it.)

I AM SO SORRY ABOUT HOW LATE THIS IS AND HOW UNORGANIZED IT IS!!! As said, you can always private message for general ideas because this is just a big jumble of random things...
