Being in a fandom involves many feels. I think we all know that.
But I'd like to address something important that I've thought about recently. (they're not my ideas, but they are my words. )
We think we're failing in life if we're anything but happy.
But we don't need to feel happy 100% of the time. We should know that it's okay to cry, be mad or in it's true form, experience life. Obviously, life isn't just happiness and we need to accept that.
Sometimes we enjoy crying and letting it out because it feels right or better. But we shouldn't feel like we're failing because we're sitting on the couch blowing our noses while curled up in a blanket. Those are the experiences we learn from. Yes, they're different from experiences that we learn from like say, facing our fears. But all the same, we are living.
Emotions are just a reminder that we are human beings and that we are living.
I tried to write this out in the most simplest way that explains the idea and I hope you understand the most of it. Or hopefully you'll get it someday because I think it's an important thing to understand. Especially with how society is today and what we expect of ourselves, and definitely in terms of our emotions.
