HICCUP

I was pretty nervous when Gobber asked me to stay back in the arena, had he found me out? I froze as he clapped a hand on my shoulder and lead me over to a pin board in the corner of the arena. It seemed to have many battering and was held together with a lot of rope. Gobber pulled out a book from behind it and he showed it to me. I gave him sideways look, but took the book and opened it hesitantly. In the front cover were the words 'Book of Dragons.' 

'Now, I had a chat with the chief earlier.' Gobber said. 'And, he's going to let you stay on Berk with one condition.' I bit my lip. I was relieved they weren't kicking me off Berk, why I wasn't sure. Mum sent me out here to discover the outside world. But she also sent me to find my own dragon, and right here with these ... these barbarians wasn't where I was going to find it. Gobber took the Book of Dragons off me and flipped to one of the last chapters, the mystery class. 

He held up the book and I saw in big print at the top 'Night Fury' everything else read unknown. 

'You see, we have had a bit of an issue the past few weeks with a Night Fury.' Gobber said putting the book down. 'What the chief has proposed is that you come up with a suitable weapon to help take down this Night Fury.' 

'Don't look so shocked! I know, I didn't think the chief would agree to it, he wanted you off the island, what with the name and likeness of- Never mind.' Gobber said interrupting himself mid-sentance. I brushed his hesitation off. 

'You say there is a Night Fury, near Berk?' I was starting to get excited. I had never seen Night Fury, but I had heard about them from mum. Dangerous dragons that haunted the night, they were practically invisible and rarely showed mercy. The unholy offspring of lightning and death. 

'Yes, he never steals food, he attacks our dragon towers and we can't afford to rebuild them after every attack.' Gobber explained. I still didn't see how he thought I could do it. 'Are you experience with building things? Do you think maybe you could works some of your dragon magic,' he made his fingers dance, 'and help us catch the beast.' 

I was about to say I would leave and that I didn't have experience with building things (a lie) and that I actually didn't want to help (another lie). But the fierce look of determination that Astrid had when she fought, floated up into my mind. The way she flipped her hair away from her face, the skillful and beautiful way that she moved, pushed me to agree. 'I'll do it.' I said firmly. 

Gobber looked over joyed. 'That's excellent Hiccup, you'll become a hero on Berk, that's if you can shoot the damn thing down.' Gobber chuckled glancing at the sky. It was bright blue and clear now which meant that tonight their would not be any clouds. Perfect hiding time for the Night Fury, no way would we get him tonight. 

'Can we start now?'

Sorry I haven't updated in the past week, but over the next 2 weeks I have testing which I desperately need to study for. So updates will mostly be coming over the weekend.

I've also been having some bad friend issues, see we had this trip with our 'brother' school a few months ago and now it seems as though everyone is together. My best friend wasn't with anyone but then she was introduced to this guy and they hit it off and the guy really likes her. And me and my other friend don't really know any guys so we make plans with my best friend and she bails on us for him. I don't really know what to do, she claims that has to do stuff around the house and then posts pictures of him on snapchat and we always see her messaging him in class. Please help me! I don't know how to approach the situation, we haven't talked in a few days and I've known her for over 10 years. 

yeah so that's what's happening with me-___-
