Casey
I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing on my nightstand. I rubbed my eyes to get a clear view of my screen and all there was displayed was a number.
"Hello?" I tried to cover up my morning voice.
"Good morning, am I talking to Casey Wilson?" A male voice spoke up and that's when I realised it must be the doctor.
"Yes, that's me." I mentally calmed myself down.
"Well, I have great news. The pregnancy test turned out positive, congratulations." The doctor announced and I swear if Jack wasn't sleeping next to me right now, I would've screamed.
"Oh my god, thank you so much!" The happiness was clearly audible in my voice.
"Well, I would like for you to pass by my office later to pick up the results and further information about your pregnancy. Also, we can set up some future appointments already, if you'd like." I think I heard half of what the doctor just told me, all I could think about was the baby that's growing inside of me right now.
I finished off the phone call and immediately texted Johnson, telling him the good news. I noticed Jack stretching in the corner of my eyes, so I locked my phone and faced him.
"Can I ask why you have the biggest smile on your face?" Jack chuckled as he pulled me down to kiss my lips. I decided to tell him the news now, so I straddled his waist and interlaced our fingers.
"Well, I have great news." I started, Jack's eyebrows furrowing. "What's the news, baby? Don't tease me." Jack groaned. "I am... Pregnant." I blurted out as Jack's mouth opened and his hands let go of mine.
"Are you serious?" Jack sat up, causing me to almost fall over. "Dead serious, I wouldn't joke about this." I slapped his arm as a smile grew on his face. "That's fucking amazing!" His arms wrapped around my waist, hugging me tightly as he laid his head on my chest.
"I'm going to be a dad, what the fuck." Jack mumbled, the realisation kicking in. "When did you even take a test?" Jack pulled away from the hug as I got up from his lap. "When I went 'grocery shopping' and came back with no groceries. Johnson took me." I giggled as Jack rolled his eyes, "How could I be so dumb."
"But this is amazing, we have to start buying stuff for the baby and make her or his room and we should-" Jack kept rambling on, so I cut him off.
"Jack, chill. I'm only in my first trimester, we have plenty of time to do those stuff." I laughed at his excitement. The fact that we're going to be parents made me feel some type of way.
"Do you want to tell people?" Jack asked, standing up from the bed and walking over to the bathroom.
"Johnson already knows. I think we should wait a week or two before telling people." I informed Jack, who rolled his eyes at me. "Why does Johnson know we're having a baby before I did?" Jack asked as I shrugged my shoulders, "I was excited and you were asleep." I giggled and walked out of our bedroom, before he'd ask further.
Jack
I can't believe I'm going to be a dad soon. And Casey's the mom? That's a dream come true to be honest.
I'm hoping we're having a boy, but I wouldn't mind having a little princess first-
My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing in our bedroom. I quickly washed my face and walked back to where my phone was charging, only to see my boss was calling me.
Fuck.
It's never a good sign when my boss calls me. I'm either getting promoted or fired - and with the way I've been doing my work lately I know for sure I'm not getting promoted any time soon.
"Hello?"
"Good morning, Jack. I was wondering if you could drop by my office today?"
"Yes, I can, what time?" By the tone in my boss' voice, I knew I was getting fired.
"I'm available from 1PM to 2PM. Don't be late like you always are." And with that, he hung up. This is the worst timing to get fired.
"Jack, breakfast is ready!" I heard Casey yell from the kitchen. I was supposed to be happy and excited for the baby, but my boss decided to ruin everything.
I tossed my phone on the bed and walked out, frustrated. "Here you go," Casey served me a plate of eggs and bacon as we silently started eating. "I have to go to work later." I spoke up, chewing on the last piece of bacon.
"Oh, can you drop me off at the hospital then? I have to pick up the results." Casey picked up our plates and put them in the dishwasher. "Yeah, okay, just be ready by 1PM." I honestly didn't want to look so depressed, but getting fired isn't nothing.
How am I supposed to pay the bills and take care of both Casey and my future baby?
All of a sudden, Shane popped into my mind. The gang life suddenly seemed to sound appealing. I'd earn way more than I do with this stupid job anyway.
Should I call him?
« should he? let me know in the comments & don't forget to vote babes! i have a lot planned. :)
ps; i'm thinking about updating every two days IF i finish writing the next chapter on time. »
