Jack Gilinsky

"I can't come to the meetings, Shane. I need more time to recover." I lied, rubbing my neck. I still hadn't told Shane about Casey and wasn't planning on doing it anytime soon either. I want to keep Casey safe, no matter what.

It has been a week since she walked out on me, Sammy told me she was staying at her dad's house and that it's better for me to not pay her a visit right now.

"Okay, but listen, take care of yourself, alright." Shane said, it sounded like he was warning me. "Why, is there something I don't know? Is someone after me?" I asked, feeling the pain as I stood up from my chair.

"The attack on Barry's gang failed, so yes, there are gangs after us. And we're the weakest when we're not together." Shane informed me, making me take a deep breath. I honestly just wanted to scream all my anger and frustration out right now.

"I'll call you later." And with that, I hung up as I tossed my phone on top of the table.

I need to clean my own mess as soon as possible and get Casey and my future baby back.

Casey Wilson

"Look who decided to wake up at a decent time," Ben spoke up as soon as I walked into the kitchen. I rolled my eyes playfully and greeted my dad, Alexandra and Jeffrey.

"I'm sorry, I haven't slept well in a long time." I smiled and took a seat next to my dad. "It's okay, honey. We understand." My dad patted my shoulder as an uncomfortable silence settled.

"So, what are the plans?" Alexandra spoke up as she looked right at my dad. My dad furrowed his eyebrows at Alexandra, as if he didn't knew what she was talking about.

"Oh come on, obviously there has to be a plan. Casey's pregnant and we both know she can't not talk to Jack." Alexandra had a point there. Jack has the right to see his child and I'm not ready to lose him again. Telling my dad what happened wasn't the smartest decision I think.

My dad sighed and closed his eyes for a moment, "He can see his child... But not you." He opened his eyes again, looking at me this time. "What? Dad, I'm married to Jack." I stood up from my chair.

"Not for long anymore, Casey." My dad fake smiled and stood up as well, walking away from the table. I looked around, noticing Jeffrey and Ben's expression change to a sad one.

"I- I'm sorry, I ruined your morning." I apologised and walked away as well, into 'my' room.

I pulled out my phone, to see if I had any missed calls or texts from Jack, but surprisingly he didn't once tried to call me.

I heard a soft knock on the door, before Jeffrey's head peeked from behind the door. "You can come in," I weakly smiled, crossing my legs on the bed. He walked in and sat down in front of me.

"You know, dad doesn't have bad intentions. He just wants you to be happy." He started, playing with the end of his shirt. "I know, but if I could stay married to Jack, he'd make me happier." I chuckled, "Actually I don't even have to listen to him. I'm an adult..." I trailed off, wanting to rant to Jeffrey, but I know listening to my problems is the last thing he wants to do right now.

"What's on your mind?" He asked, making me look up at him with a surprised expression. "I can feel when something's wrong with someone... Especially with my older sister." Jeffrey chuckled, placing a hand on my knee.

"What's bothering me is that my dad wasn't there when I needed him the most and now all of a sudden, he wants to play the protective dad." I shrugged, chewing on my bottom lip.

"I understand that," Jeffrey paused, before opening his mouth again. "Do you want to talk to Jack? Face to face?" He asked all of a sudden, but I nodded anyways. "I can back you up. I'll tell dad we're going to grab lunch together, but you're actually going to grab lunch with Jack." Jeffrey smiled and stood up from the bed.

"You're willing to lie to dad for me?" I giggled, standing up as well. "Hey, that's what siblings are for right?" Jeffrey shrugged as I embraced him in a hug.

"Thank you, brother."

« it's official. this is probably the most boring chapter i've ever written. but i really needed to update and this is some sort of "filler" chapter. i promise things are going to get heated & (even more) dramatic.
