Nate

I didn't know what it was, but something told me things weren't going to end well with Gio's plan. That's why I took the first possible flight to the US and even though my chances were slim of being there on time, I couldn't let anything happen to Casey.

The first thing I did when I arrived was checking up on Gio's warehouse, only to find it empty. My next stop was Shane's warehouse. There was no time to waste, the bad feeling I had in the pit of my stomach became worse with each minute passing.

I parked my car a street further from Shane's house and spotted Gio's car as well as another unfamiliar car in front of Shane's warehouse. I saw Sam and one of Gio's gang members pouring gasoline around the front of the house, the realisation soon kicking in - Casey was in the warehouse. When I walked closer I spotted Jack as well, he was begging and crying.

I carefully sneaked to the back of the house without being seen and stepped inside through one of the broken windows. I had cut myself on a piece of glass, but I didn't feel the pain, the adrenaline was having an effect on me. I spotted Casey on a couch, her hands tied together as well as her legs. She was sobbing silently as she whispered something to herself.

"What did I do to deserve this?" I heard her ask herself. I would be lying if I told you that didn't break my heart. She sounded so vulnerable and it hurt me because she indeed didn't deserve this. If only she had stayed with me - we would've lived a beautiful life in Australia, away from the dangerous lifestyle Jack had entered and I had left.

I approached her carefully, trying to make no sound, but this house was so old, every step I took made a sound. She jumped, turning around to see what was happening. She stared at me in shock when she realised who I was.

"Casey, if you want to stay alive, it's important for you to stay quiet okay," I tried to explain as calm as I could, but Casey's breathing started becoming heavier, "I- I can't, what's happening?" She asked, fresh tears rolling down her cheek. Her eyes started rolling as her eyelids closed and her body fell numb.

"Shit," I hissed. It would only take Gio a minute to burn down this house, so I had to be quick. I picked Casey up and walked back to the window I had entered through. I took off my jacket and placed it on the broken glass pieces on the window frame to make sure it wouldn't cut Casey.

As soon as I succeeded in getting her out of the house, I picked her up and walked as far away from the warehouse as possible. I heard the fire starting and closed my eyes, realising that if I hadn't come down here, Casey would be in there burning alive.

Suddenly anger started building up inside me, I felt like murdering each one of them and especially Gio. I've seen him ruin many lives and it was time the same thing would be done to him. He might think he's invincible, but he doesn't expect me to be here, which makes him an easy target.

I laid Casey on the ground and loaded the gun I had with me. I walked around the house, but from a safe distance. I saw the four gang member watching the house burn down with Gio in the middle. Sam had joined them as well, which made my blood boil, was he actually going to watch the house burn down?

I aimed at the first member and shot the second one after I had taken down the first one. They were all alert by now, which meant I had to be more careful. They had no idea what was going on however and I could easily take down the third man as well. I waited a minute before aiming at Gio, this was my only chance, it was now or never.

With one shot, I took down Gio, which seemed to terrify the last man standing. I decided to give him an injury he'd be able to survive and aimed at his leg, before firing a bullet. Five men down.

I returned to Casey and picked her up as I walked to the car Sam had hid himself in. He thought I hadn't seen him, but I had spotted him the second he moved over to Jack to drag him into the car. Obviously I wasn't going to shoot Sam, I couldn't.

I placed Casey on the passenger's seat, before confronting Sam.

[skipping the conversation between sam and nate]

I watched Sam walk to Gio's car as he stepped in. I waited for him to leave, before I started the engine of the car. I was assuming it's Jack's car. I took a look at Jack in the rearview mirror and shook my head at how dumb he could be to join the gang life. How did it even get to that point.

I drove to Jack and Casey's apartment, vaguely remembering the directions. I grabbed Jack's keys and unlocked the door, before carrying Casey inside, Jack afterwards. I had put Jack on their bed and Casey on the couch.

I sighed and rubbed my face in frustration. I had no idea what was going to happen next and what Casey's reaction was going to be when she sees me. Will she remember me saving her life?

I poured myself a glass of water and cleaned the wounds I had from cutting myself on the glass, when all of a sudden I heard a noise coming from the living room. When I walked back into the living area, I saw Casey sitting up as she held her head.

"Casey," I spoke up, which made her look up with a terrified expression, "What happened? Where's Jack? And Alex?" Casey questioned as she looked around desperately. I sighed, "Everyone is fine," I assured her, "Do you remember anything from before you fell unconscious?" I asked her just to be sure.

She looked at me with sad and tired eyes, "I remember everything," She admitted, the pain audible in her voice, "I don't understand a single thing of what happened, Nate," She told me as if she was begging for an explanation.

"I want to tell you everything, from A to Z, but promise me one thing; you won't look at me differently after hearing whatever I have to tell you," I demanded, deciding to start with the worst years of my life.

Decided to give you guys a Nate POV, because that would give a lot more information about how Casey was saved, etc.
