Delta’s POV

Genesis didn’t hesitate.

The moment Gwyn shifted his focus, I felt it- like the air itself tightening around Devolos. A silent command. A decision already made.

Target locked.

“Devolos-!” I snapped, but it was already happening.

A violent, crushing impact exploded across the stadium floor- metal screeching, sparks bursting in jagged streaks of light as Devolos was driven sideways. The sound alone made my chest tighten. It wasn’t just a hit.

It was force. Absolute force.

Devolos skidded- hard, its tip grinding against the stadium ridge, teetering on the brink. One more push and-

I gritted my teeth.

Hold it! Don’t you dare go out!

Devolos dug in, its rotation flaring as it fought back, resisting with everything it had. The stadium trembled under the pressure of the clash, the friction between them sending vibrations up through my arms even from where I stood.

But Genesis didn’t slow, didn’t even hesitate. It just kept pushing. Relentless. Merciless. Like it had already decided the outcome.

“Stay in, Devolos!” I shouted, my voice sharper than I intended. I could feel it- the imbalance, the way Genesis was eating away at Devolos’ rotation bit by bit.

Across the stadium, Gwyn wasn’t even reacting. He just… watched. Like this was inevitable. Like Devolos was already gone.

Then- a second impact. A burst of blue.

“What?!” My eyes widened as Dragon slammed into Devolos from behind.

For a split second, my mind refused to process it. Dragon didn’t attack but.. aligned. Locked in behind Devolos, its tip stabilizing against the stadium floor as its rotation surged- pushing forward, reinforcing Devolos back into the arena.

“What are you doing?!” I muttered under my breath, stunned.

Dante stood there, breathing hard, but smiling. Not reckless. Not desperate. Just… certain.

“Don’t lose, Delta!” he shouted.

Back in the arena, Dragon pressed harder, its blue aura flaring brighter as it forced Devolos forward- dragging it away from the edge, inch by inch, back toward the center.

Devolos responded instantly. His spin steadied, strengthened. He wasn’t just holding on anymore. He was pushing back.

Genesis reacted. Of course it did.

It surged forward with even greater force, its rotation intensifying, the pressure doubling as it drove against both of them.

And that’s when I felt it. The pull. The drain.

“…It’s absorbing both of them,” I muttered, my voice low, my fingers tightening painfully around my launcher. “Gwyn… you’re-”

Of course he was.

He wasn’t just targeting Devolos. He was taking everything. Dragon’s energy. Devolos’ energy. All of it.

Genesis’ rotation spiked violently, swallowing their power like it was nothing- like it had been waiting for this.

“Dante!” I called out, sharper this time, a crack slipping into my voice. “Pull back! If Dragon keeps this up- ”

“It’s fine!”
