Delta’s POV

Two Beys.

One target.

The pressure doubled instantly.

The moment both Apocalypse and the white Bey shifted their trajectories toward Devolos, I knew standing my ground would get him crushed. They weren’t attacking randomly anymore- they were coordinating. One advanced head-on, forcing Devolos to react. The other slid into position, cutting off every escape route before it even existed.

Like jaws closing around prey.

“…Tch.”

Devolos darted away just in time, sparks skidding off the stadium wall as Apocalypse slammed into the space he’d occupied a heartbeat earlier. The white Bey followed instantly, its path smoother, tighter, like it was gliding instead of spinning.

I didn’t attack.

I ran.

Chase pattern, I told myself. Buy time. Observe.

The crowd was shouting now, arguing, protesting, but the noise blurred into the background. My entire world narrowed to the stadium and the three Beys inside it.

Apocalypse was aggressive- heavy hits, sharp lunges, constant pressure. Pure offense. That hadn’t changed.

But the white Bey… It barely attacked.

Every time Devolos tried to cut inward or reverse momentum, it adjusted. Never colliding. Never overcommitting. It simply existed where Devolos couldn’t afford it to be, forcing another turn, another dodge, another loss of ground.

Like a wall that moved.

Then the man beside Arthur finally spoke.

“Eclipse Genesis,” he said flatly.

His voice was calm. Empty. Like he was reading data aloud.

“That is my Bey.”

So he does talk.

“Despite appearances,” Gwen continued, eyes still fixed on the stadium, “it is not identical to Apocalypse. Genesis is not an attack type.”

I felt it- that subtle wrongness in the stadium’s balance. I watched carefully as Genesis intercepted Devolos’s path- not attacking, just blocking, forcing another turn.

“It’s defense,” Gwen continued. “Perfect defense.”

The realization hit me like ice water.

Defense… with Big Bang Armor.

Genesis didn’t just have Big Bang Armor- it settled into it. Each rotation reinforced its balance, the armor absorbing force and redistributing it flawlessly. Apocalypse attacked to overwhelm.

Genesis existed to endure.

And suddenly, I understood why my instincts were screaming. Genesis is worse.

Apocalypse could be read, countered, baited into overextension.

Genesis? Genesis erased mistakes.

Devolos zipped past the center again, barely avoiding a crushing blow from Apocalypse- but this time, Genesis shifted, just slightly. Devolos clipped its edge- and the impact rang out like iron striking stone.

Devolos was thrown back hard, his rotation wobbling, spin pattern fracturing as sparks scattered across the stadium floor.

“No- !”

Before Devolos could adjust- Apocalypse struck from the side. Genesis struck from the front. At the same time.

The collision wasn’t loud. It was crushing.
