Mirkwood

*Gandalf's POV*

I was awake first. It wasn't far off dawn. I went over to Thorin and woke him up. We went around and woke everyone up. Beorn walked in.

'I have your horses ready, there if food already packed on the back of each horse' he said.

'Thank you' I said bowing slightly.

We all went outside. There was 16 horses lined up waiting to be mounted.

'Lassie come here' I heard Beorn say.

She exchanged glances with Thorin. He nodded. I couldn't hear them talking but I saw him hand her something. She had smile on her face.

'We must reach the forest by midday of we want to get out for two days' I said. We all said bye to Beorn and rode off.

*Fili's POV*

We where riding for about an hour. I still didn't know what Beorn gave her. I decided to ask.

'What did Beorn give you back at the house?' I asked.

Mili looked at me, and then began rummaging around in her pocket. She had something in her hand. She showed me.

'Your ruin stone' I said.

'Ya he found it, remember I lost it when I got attacked' she said.

I just nodded. And caught up to Kili. He was been handed money from Oin.

'What's that about?' I said.

'Oh I bet to Oin that it would take us 3 hours to reach the forest and he said 4 so I win' Kili explained.

'Oh' I said.

I looked ahead and I saw a forest. Mirkwood. We all hoped down off the horses when we reached the front.

'Let the ponies return to their master' Gandalf said. We began to take the food and other supplies off the ponies. Nori Ori and Dori began to take the saddles off.

Gandalf walked into the forest. He was mumbling to himself. All of a sudden he came out of the forest shouting 'Not my horse, I need it.'

'Your not leaving us are you?' Bilbo asked.

'I would not do this if I didn't have to' Gandalf replied. 'I will be waiting for you at the slopes of Erebor, do not enter that mountain without me.' He directed the last part towards Thorin.

Gandalf and Bilbo began to talk. He then hopped up on his horse and rode away. 'Do not stray from the path, the forest will try to lead you astray' he shouted before leaving our sight.

'Come on' Thorin demanded.

We all trudged through the forest. It was really stuffy. I think everyone else was thinking the same. All of a sudden we stopped.

'What's wrong Nori why have we stopped' I heard uncle ask.

'The path its disappeared' Nori answered.

'Quick loom for the path all of you, find it' Thorin demands. Everyone began to look.

Dori bent down and pickup up a tobacco pouch.

'There's dwarves in these woods' Dori said picking up the pouch.

'Dwarves from the Blue Mountains no less' Bofur said. 'Say that looks like mine.'

'That's because it is yours' Bilbo said annoyed. 'Can't you see we are going in circles, we are lost.'

'We're not lost, we keep heading East' Uncle said.

'But which way is East' Oin asked. 'Air I need air, and the sun we need to find the sun.'

I felt a stinging pain in my back. I fell to the floor.
'Fili' I heard Mili and Kili yell. But the just fell to the floor too. I just blacked out.

I woke up. I felt really drowsy. I couldn't see clearly. I thought I was hallucinating because I thought I saw webs. I fell to the floor. More figures came falling down too. I took the web thing off of me and realised that I wasn't hallucinating. More dwarves where climbing out of their webs as well.

'Bilbo where's Bilbo' Bofur said.

I looked around for Bilbo. I couldn't find him.
I saw a huge spider climbing down the trees. I called to Thorin and pointed up. We all began to fight. We where fighting our hardest.

One spider was on top of Bombur, eight of us grabbed a leg and pulled. We pulled each leg off. Another spider was coming down from the trees. But hanging from their sting was an elf. I think it was a boy but I wasn't sure. He slit a spider right open. He pointed his bow at uncle.

'Do not think I won't kill you dwarf' he said.

I heard someone shout my name.

'Kili' I shouted. I saw Kili being dragged off by a spider. Mili saw. We both tried to move to help him. An elf pulled us back. 'My brother his over there' I said pointing to Kili. The elf just shrugged his shoulders.

Mili slapped him straight across the cheek. I couldn't help my self but to laugh. He was going to take a swing back at her but I caught his hand and shook my head. He finally dropped his hand.

Kili soon came back over with a red haired elf. The elves bound us and made us walk, further into the forest...
