Luke and the rest of 5SOS had left for their American tour, along with Liz who had been nominated to keep the boys in check whenever they're away. So,now I was 5 months pregnant and was going to my 20 week scan alone.

The driver drove me to the hospital and I went to the anti-natal unit. The receptionist smiled at me and asked for my name. "Ava Williamson, I have an appointment at 10:30." She typed my name in to her computer and told me to take a seat in the waiting room. As I sat down,I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I grabbed it.

Ashton👊: I still have loads of your stuff at mine. Get it whilst I'm away or its getting chucked.

What a knobhead! Angrily,I began to text back.

Me: And how am I meant to get in to the apartment you dick?

I soon got a reply.

Ashton: idc,it's not my problem.

Me:nothing's your fucking problem is it Ash? At my 20 week scan, finding out whether I'm having a boy or a girl. If you cared.

Ashton:well they aren't my problems and you know it,don't try and put the blame on me. Great, good luck with that. Get your shit out of my apartment.

Me:like I've said a million times,it really is yours and really is your problem. Keep it,idc.

Ashton:prove it,you're just trying to blame me so you can get child benefit-it isn't happening. Fine,it will all be chucked.

Me:you know what,I will fucking prove it,and when I do I will get every last penny out of you!

I wiped away the tears running down my face as the receptionist called my name. "Room 8 Miss Williamson." I walked down the corridor to room 8 and knocked, then being called in. "Hi Ava, how are you feeling?" Her face dropped when she saw I'd been crying. She was one of Liz's friends and had been my midwife since around week 12. She understood the situation between Ashton and I was completely confidential, not like she would tell anyone anyway because of patient confidentiality. But,she knew what had happened and that I was on my own,and she made it her business to make sure I had a good pregnancy. "Just had a few texts of Ashton, brought back a lot of emotion I guess.." She rubbed my arm and gave me a sympathetic smile. "Can we just do the scan please? I'd rather just not talk about it." She nodded and I climbed on the bed, doing the usual 'pulling up of the top and unbuttoning of the trouses'. I squirmed as she put the gel on my stomach, spreading it around slowly. Then she put her probe on my stomach, moving it around until an image appeared on the screen. My baby. "He's grown so much!" I whispered in awe. I'd started referring to the baby as a boy,but I honestly had no idea what it could be. "Baby's heart beat is good, growing well. We are still waiting on a few tests but nothing seems to be wrong from what I can see on the scan, but if we do find anything out we will ring you on your contact number. Now for the exciting part,do you want to find out the gender?" She beamed at me. I thought about it for a minute, and I still didn't know what I wanted. I nodded, curiosity consuming me. "Well then, let me see if I can get a different angle then." She moved the stick around my stomach, baby was curled up in a ball making it harder for her. Finally, she was able to get a better view of the baby. "Well Ava it appears you are having..a boy. Congratulations!" She needed at me. I wiped away the tears that's had formed around my eyes and I smiled at her. "Thankyou, thanks so much." I cried. I was having a little boy,a little boy who I love more than anyone in the entire world. "Hello beautiful boy,it's your mummy here." I whispered to my belly, smiling to myself.

Yay finally included Ashton again! I know it's a short chapter and hardly any Ash but the next chapter will be partly his POV
Who's happy the baby is a boy?

Please vote, comment, even if you're telling me I'm a shit writer I'd rather know!

Love you all, Maya
