TMNT - Worlds Change

Two

Leo POV:

She was strange and beautiful. She laid on the couch, blissfully unconscious as Mikee and Raph watched over her. I had to help her find her sisters.  She was different and unique. And four more turtles? Our odds in a fight would double. But watching her fight made me crazy. She had abilities I had never even thought of.

"So you like her, huh?" Donnie smiled as I put my head in my hand. "I'm just teasing, you know. She seemed to like you."

"What in that brilliant mind of yours came to that conclusion? She tried to kill me." I gave him a look and he just smirked.

"But she didn't, did she?" He stated. I was about to protest when Mikee let out a slightly girlish shriek.

"Guys! She's waking up!" He took a hurried step back as I moved past him. She sat up, looking disoriented. Giving me a confused look as I sat beside her, I tried to smile reassuringly.

"Where am I? Where are my sisters?" I gently took hold of her hand. It was small in mine, the same three fingers both delicate and strong.

"It's ok. You're safe here. And we are looking for your sisters, don't worry. What is your name?" I smiled, encouragingly. She hesitantly looked at me.

"Venus. But where... who are you?" I smiled.

"Promise not to kill me this time?" Her confused look was answer enough. "My name is Leo. Leonardo." She didn't try to kill me this time, so that was reassuring. She looked at me closely.

"Master Shredder... never said you were... kind." She gasped, her eyes widening. "Oh no.... no, no, no. The serum took over, didn't it? I tried to kill you in the hall when I really needed to ask your help. He has my sisters' captive not you. I'm-" The tapping of Sensei's walking stick resonated through the room. His eyes settled on Venus.

"Who is this, then?" Splinter smiled at each of us, but it was Venus who gasped. She fell to one knee, bowing.

"Master Splinter! One of my teachers sent me as soon as he could but the serum-" She seemed so shaken. I knelt beside her as he spoke.

"Rise child. You have no need to bow to me. I have known of your mission for a while now. I wish your sisters could have come with you, but one is easier to tame than four." Sensei smiled kindly at her. She had not moved from her bow. Donnie asked the question we needed answered.

"Sensei, please explain what is going on? You know this girl and her sisters?" Sensei nodded and quietly smiled.

"It was imperative to keep you apart until now. For your survival. Years ago, when you were a several mutation cycles younger, Leonardo attempted to confront Shredder on his own. Shredder became afraid that day of the four of you. So he started scheming.

When Shredder acquired the ooze that created you, he created his own, using technology to control them. My... friend, cared for them and taught them. He discovered their pure hearts and their aptitude for similar weapons as your own. For Venus, it seems her pure heart led her here for your help." Sensei watched Venus, who sat shaking.

"Sensei. The serum almost made me kill him. If he had not broken its hold..." she was evidently upset. Why did that bother me so much?

"You have no reason to be upset dear. You did not." Sensei moved to the couch, but Venus still knelt on the floor. She seemed shell-shocked. I tilted her chin up to me.

"Venus. It wasn't your fault. What matters is you didn't kill me. And now you know the truth about us. It's ok." She seemed slightly reassured.

"How will my sisters trust me? They are under his spell. Or maybe it is once they see you... or.... will they trust me?" Her eyes searched for an answer in the room. I smiled, which pulled her eyes back to me.

"When it's family, you trust. Always." She smiled softly and I helped her to her feet. I heard the whispers in the background.

"So there's 4 of them?" It was clear that Raph was tense about the whole situation. Donnie reassured him and pondered the idea as Mikee glanced over the couch top.

"She still scares me."

"Sensei, we must find her sisters before-" my statement was cut off by Venus' cry of pain.

Venus POV:

I could hear Leonardo trying to talk to me but it blurred away as I fell to my knees, the vision taking hold.

"Where is she? Answer me!" His voice was deep, dark. Athena knelt at his feet, a soft cry.

"She took off! She went after Leonardo that is all I know!" She fought tears, which would only bring her pain.

"Leonardo... you are lucky."  The last thing I saw was him tossing her away. I tried to call out to her.

"ATHENA!"

Leo POV:

"Venus! Venus can you hear me?" I held her in my arms where she had crumpled. She twisted in my arms, holding tight to me.

"Oh Leonardo... oh no..." I held her close, her fear evident.

"Hey. It's ok. We'll find them. I promise you, we will help you save them." She nodded gently. I turned to Sensei.

"Master, we must act quickly. And soon."

"Agreed, my son." Splinter gently touched my shoulder. "Agreed."
