"Aye where yo new friend" Sky asked me while snapping her fingers in my face.
"I wouldn't be staring at the door waiting for her to walk in if I knew" I said. It was almost time for lunch/3rd period and she still wasn't here. I figure she had to make a few drops before school, cause I use to do that to but I was starting to get worried. What if something happened to her. Its crazy how I care for this girl and I hardly know her. It scares me sometimes, I've never felt like this before. I like it though. It makes me feel like I actually do have feelings, and Im not a cold hearted ass hole. I was snapped out my thoughts by the bell ringing. Sky and I got first lunch so we made our way to the cafeteria. When we walked in I seen Kj sitting at our table with three Sonic bags, 3 drinks and her head resting on her folded arms.
"Aye bruh, there she go" I said to Sky and making my way to the table.
"Damn you must be hella hungry and thirsty" Sky said causing Kj to lift her head up. She laughed before speaking.
"Naah this for all of us. I thought y'all might want something besides the cafeteria food."
"Daaamn right! Which ones mine?" Sky said causing both Kj and I to bust out in laughter.
"It don't matter. They all the same bruh."
With that we sat down, grabbed a bag and a drink. She got us the 5 piece chicken tenders with bbq sauce, fries, and a Dr.Pepper.
"Bruh you the real MVP. I like you already" Sky said while stuffing her face.
"You right she is something else" Kj said referring to what I told her yesterday about Sky. As we all sat there talking and laughing Kj got a phone call. She looked at the caller ID before answering. An annoyed look crossed her face as she got up to step into the hall.
"Excuse me yall I'll be back" with that she walked into the hall.
"You like her don't you" Sky said causing me to blush.
"Awwww you do like her!"
"Sky if you don't shut yo sentimental ass up" I said while grinning.
"You think she likes you to?" When she asked me that, my grin dropped.
"I don't know. She don't look like the studxstud type of girl"
"Looks can be deceiving" she while giving me a reassuring smile. After another minute passed by Kj came back. She had an uneasy look on her face, but quickly readjusted it when she noticed I was looking.
"You okay?" I mouthed to her. She shook her head yes and continued to eat. The bell rung and we got up and headed to 3rd period.
"I'll see yall later" Sky said while walking towards the 100 hall. She doesn't have the same period as Kj and I.
"Aight bruh. Text me if you need me, Love you" I yelled
"Fa show, Love you to Fam!" She yelled back. I noticed Kj chuckling.
"What's so funny?" I asked
"That was cute what yall just did" I joined her in chuckling
"We do it everyday. One time she actually called me while in class cause the two niggas was tryna jump her. I ran down these halls so damn fast you would've thought I was the little nigga from the incredibles." She busted out laughing.
"Damn, so yall really are close" she said in the process of catching her breath.
"Yeaah. Like I told you yesterday, she my heart. I'll do anything for her."
"So what I got to do to be apart of your heart?" I stopped in the middle of the hallway to face her
"What you mean?"
"I mean like I'm trying to get close to you. I want to know anything and everything about you. I don't know what it is about you that keeps pulling me closer to you, but what I do know is that whatever it is I hope its doesn't stop pulling me, cause eventually Ima fall. And I want to fall for you Ray." I just stood there in shock. Frozen. I honestly could get words to come out of my mouth.
"I.. Um.. I" I attempted to speak, but I couldn't.
"Just tell me you feel the same and we can go from there." She said with her eyes full of hope.
"I do" I said and started smiling from ear to ear. We stood there in the hall looking into eachothers eyes. We both jumped when we heard the tardy bell ring.
"Come before Mr. Jones gives us detention" we both chuckled.
"You right come on" with that she grabbed my hand and we made our way to class.
