I don't own Rwby and take no credit for it.

Once Ruby was out of the dream she directly made a dash outside.

"what in tarnations name was that?" asked Percival confused while Blake and Yang thought to follow her before deciding that she needs space.

"Well. The negative Weiss said some pretty mean stuff and well it hurt her." said Cassie.

"Oh dear." said Percival before he followed her.

"Don't you wanna help too?" asked Cassie Mr Shadow.

"My data base on human emotions is... insufficent. Percival is a better subject to connect with her on an emotional base. Attempts were made with varying levels of little success when trying to immitate subject Percivals approach. I still need to analyze human psyche for a better understanding and approach. He has Rubys emotions under controll while i understand her logic." said Mr Shadow.

"Well. You are a different person after all. So it would make sense that you would need an entirely different approach." said Cassie.

"Approaches 1 to 29 have been documented and analysed. Results were insuficent for expended ressources. The copied approaches were undeniable insufficent." said Mr Shadow.

"Well... You could try a approach fully of your own. Like just to validate the parking you could say." said Cassie.

Mr Shadow stared at her as if he was about to discorporate her.

Cassie gulped in fear as Mr Shadwo then spoke. Even if his voice is more of a revibration in her ethereal being. "Starting recording. Attempt 30 of consolation under new parameters." said Mr Shadow before vanishing.

"Puh. Thought i was a gonner here." said Cassie relieved.

(with Percival)

He found Ruby on the roof of beacon.  "Oh dear." said Percival as he saw the red cocoon of sadness. He walked towards her sat down next to her.

"I would ask if thy are ok but that would be unnecessary now isn't it?" asked Percival.

He heared a grumble out of the red folds of the cocoon.

"I heared it from the new recruit. Your friend wasn't exactly what you thought she would be." said Percival.

A bit more grumble.

"Well. ... You wanna hear a story of this old man, lad. You loved those when you were younger. You loved those even a few weeks ago." said Percival.

"No..." came from the hood.

"Well. To bad. I am gonna do it anyway! AHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed Percival before he caught himself as he saw the hood shrinking

"Once upon a time there was a man. He was young. Good looking enough to woo everyone. Stupid. Oh so infinitely stupid. But he was strong. Strong enough to carry everything on his shoulders. He thought that all the people admiring him for his strengh were his friends. People he could drink with. People that would be there when he would die. He thought everyone loved him. Except that one archer. He hated that mans guts. They argued competed and fought with each other at any given moment. Who was the better drinker. Who was the better fighter. Of course the man won but they kept competing to proof that the other one was weaker." said Percival.

"Sounds nice." said Ruby sleepy.

"Oh it would have been nice if it were that simple. But no. Someday his strengh failed him. He had carried everything and everyone for weeks and was just exhausted which caused him and his company to be attacked and the man to be wounded. It were grimm. The people whom he thought were his friends abandoned him when he was wounded and couldn't run. So the stupid lad thought "So this is where i will lie to die... Why am i alone? Friends where are you?" It was at this moment that he realised that it was fear and need that kept the people to him." said Percival.
