Present time.
Katie's POV.
"Katie, I'm headed to West Lake for the parade you wanna come?" my aunt Lilly asked. "No I think I'm gonna sit this one out." I said not looking up from my book. (Paper towns)
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm sure." I said.
"Alright, I'll see you later honey," She said. "Bye," I waved.
*Later that morning*
I finished my book, what do I do now? I decided to take a walk around town. I grab my jacket and walk out the door.
"Morning Katie, where you headed?" Looked to see my neighbor Julia getting into her car. She and her husband Dr. Shumway moved to Chesters Mill six months ago.
"Hey Julia I'm just going out on a walk, you?" I ask. Julia had long curly red hair, blue and a very upbeat and positive personality. We got along very well.
As for Dr. Shumway, not much was too be said about him. He seemed nice, but I don't know. I always thought something was off with him. I didn't tell Julia of course. I just kept it to myself.
"Uh-uh, secret." She said putting a finger on her lip and smiling. I just laughed. "Well, I'll see you later Julia," I said.
"See you," and she drove off.
I walked first to The Sweetbriar.
It wasn't very busy today, there was only two other people in the diner. The owner Rose Twitchell and Big Jim Rennie.
"Good morning Rose, Jim," I said taking a seat.
"Good morning to you too Katie, what'll it be?" She asked
"Just a coffee, thanks," I replied.
"Hey Katie you seen Junior around?" Jim asked.
"Oh come on Jim, you know he and I don't talk much anymore," I said feeling kinda sad. "Why, is that again? I mean you used to be such good friends and now it's like you barley know each other." He said.
"Well sometimes people don't always stay friends," I said. "And I wouldn't worry about Junior, he's probably with Angie or something." I say.
"Well I should get going," I said and paid Rose for the coffee. I got up and walked toward the door but the minute I put my hand on the knob I grabbed my head and fell to the ground. Big Jim and Rose where at my side in seconds. It looked like Jim was trying to say something but I couldn't hear him. All I could hear was a high pitched screaming in my head. It hurt so bad but I tried not to make a big scene, I closed my eyes and that's when I saw something.
No, no not now! Why now? I asked myself. I was getting a vision. Great.
*VISION*
I saw the McAlister farm, I saw Joe and some other guy I didn't recognize. I also saw myself. Just standing there.
*VISION ENDS*
"Katie! Katie are you alright sweetheart?" Rose asked bringing me back to reality. They both looked at me, concern written all over there faces.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," I say tryingto reassure them. "You sure kid?" Jim asked helping me up.
"Cause I can take you to the clinic if your not feeling to good." He offered.
"No thanks Jim. I'm okay, really." I said. "I uh, just remembered that I need to talk Joe McAlister about something," I said. "Katie, wait," I ignored Jim and walked out the door.
I walked down the street then I saw Angie headed my way.
"Angie!" I called and ran up to her.
"Oh hey Hart, what's wrong?" She asked me. "Nothing," I lied not wanting to freak her out
"I was just wondering if Joe was home or not,"
"Oh. Um, yeah he should be." She answered. "OK thanks. Oh, and do you know where Junior is by any chance?" She looked a little surprised when I said his name for some reason.
"Why?" She asked sounding impatient. Probably because she was so late for work.
"His dad was just looking for him. And I just kinda figured you might know where he is." I explained.
"Oh, I uh saw him this morning, I don't where he went really." She said nervously. OK that's weird, why was Angie nervous? And what was she nervous about?
"OK... I said. Then I started to hear the screaming again. It was weird, it had never happened until today. And it wasn't a human scream. To be honest I don't know what it was. But my head hurt like hell.
"I have to go Ang, see you!" I said and hurried off down the street. The vision came back and there was a bloody handprint in mid air. Weird.
I needed to get to Joe, I have no idea what these visions mean but what I do know is that something big is about to happen.
So there it is. I know its not exactly like the episode but who cares? That's why its a fanfic. Bye my domaniacs! (I know, dumb name but whatever.)
