Chapter 12

Shadowwhisper looked at her attacker. A giant brown tom loomed over her, amber eyes glittering with delight.

''Not so great now, are we?'' The tom said gleefully.

Shadowwhisper struggled under the tom's grip, ''Who are you? Why are you-'' She was cut off as the paw on her throat pressed down harder.

''I am Fangstar, the leader of NightClan, I believe you were helping WhisperClan? Well you won't,'' He unsheathed his claws, ''anymore.'' He raised his large paw, claws glinted in the sunlight. Shadowwhisper shut her eyes, ready for her doom. 

Fangstar's paw left her throat, she opened her eyes instantly. Fangstar fought with a cat opposite her, the cat looked familiar.....Silverstripe! Silverstripe was ThunderClan's best hunter, her former mentor.

Shadowwhisper lept forward, muscles tensed, claws unsheathed, teeth bared. She hit Fangstar in the chest, he gasped, as the air left his chest.

Silverstripe rushed forward to give another blow, but Shadowwhisper stopped her, ''Fangstar, leave or we will kill you.''

''You can't kill me, I am leader I have 9 liv-'' Fangstar was cut off.

''You are on your 9th life, we could kill you.'' Shadowwhisper meowed.

''How-how?'' Fangstar stuttered.

''I have my ways.'' Shadowwhisper smiled a deathly smile, ''Run.''

Fangstar lept to his paws and ran away, tail streaming out behind him.

Shadowwhisper watched the fleeing leader, then looked at Silverstripe.

''Silverstripe! Why are you here? You saved me! You....'' Shadowwhisper began.

Silverstripe gazed at Shadowwhisper, ''Moonstar explained to us, what happened, and told us the prophecy, I asked Moonstar if I could go, she said yes, after a while. I followed your scents, and asked for help from the cats in the twoleg place. I am so glad I found you!''

Shadowwhisper leaned against Silverstripe, letting their fur brush together.

''Thankyou for coming, I wouldv'e died if it wasn't for you!''

Silverstripe purred, ''I'm sure Featherfrost wouldv'e saved you!'' Silverstripe stopped, ''Where is Featherfrost?''

Shadowwhisper looked away, ''StarClan claimed her.''

Miststar had told her clan to gather under the tree and stay there until she came back, she followed Shadowwhisper, and witnessed one of the sisters of prophecy dying, she had walked away as Shadowwhisper had become angry because of grief.

She was now padding towards where she had left her clan to rest, she turned to the tree.

''Redmoon, Featherfrost ha-'' She stopped, her clan wasn't there. Where have they gone?

Moonstar stood on top of highledge looking down at her clan.

''All cat's old enough to catch their own prey, join beneath Highledge for a clan meeting!'' Monstar yowled.

ThunderClan cat's looked up from what they were doing and started to pad towards Highledge, looking quizzicaly at each other.

''ThunderClan, prepare for battle. RiverClan, WindClan and ShadowClan are against us, there is no hope, unless we prepare.''

ThunderClan cat's looked fearfully at one another.

Moonstar looked at her frightened clan, ''May StarClan help us.''
