Shadowwhisper heard another shriek of pain from Silvermist as the timid medicine cat was thrown about, by the brutal she-cat.
''Lightningleaf!'' Shadwhisper yowled across the clearing toward the sandy coloured tom, ''Help Miststar!''
Lightningleaf's head lifted slightly, eyes glazed over with grief as he stared at Moonstar, unconsious on the ground.
''Miststar!'' Shadowwhisper repeated agian.
The confusion in Lightningleaf's eyes cleared and he bounded, eyes now filled with fury, at Cloudstar and lunged on the fluffy white tom knocking him over.
Shadowwhisper ran towards Silvermist, wind flowing over her bood-matted fur.
She skidded to a halt, white fangs gleaming, ''Move away from Silvermist.'' She hissed under her breath at the skinny black she-cat.
The skinny she-cat raised her head higher, ''Make me.''
Shadowwhisper's green eyes glittered dangerously, ''Oh, believe me, I will.''

Miststar's chest heaved and a loud rasping sigh of relief slipped her lips.
Her eyes darted to Lightningleaf's pale yellow fur and in a blurred cloud of fury and dust she vaguely saw the bodys of Lightningleaf and Cloudstar, engaged in battle.
Her neck stung and blood dripped into her eye, making her vision blur even more.
Miststar blinked away and she began to clear, when she felt hot, sticky breath on her face.
She pushed awayin a vague attempt to escape, but the breath continued to rush over her face.
''Miststar,'' A deep voice whispered in her ear.
Miststar felt confused, ''Who are you?'' She muttered.
The dark cat leaning over her shuffled and leaned closer, ''I, am Smokestar of ShadowClan.''
Miststar's fur bristled as she realized that this was an enemy, ''Why are you here for?'' She murmured, painc edging her voice.
Smokestar laughed, ''Why do you think?''
Miststar felt weak and defencless-which of course, she was-, ''Help me?'' She mumbled in desperate hope.
Smokestar's amber eyes shimmered, ''No, I'm here to let you join StarClan.''

Lightningleaf lunged at Cloudstar, ''This is for Moonstar.''
He scraped his claws down Cloudstar's side, making the white tom yowl in pain.
''This is for Miststar.''
He knocked Cloudstar over and placed his paw on his throat.
''And this is for ruining ThunderClan.''
Lightningleaf felt his claws sink into the flesh of Cloustar's neck.
Cloudstar gurgled and choked as blood poured out of his throat and splattered his pristine white fur.
Cloudstar's eyes began fading and his lips moved, ''Ma-may StarClan ha-hate you fore-forever.''
Cloudstar's body gave one last shudder and fell limp.
A brown tom in the battling clearing stopped and let out a whimper and yowled, ''Cloudstar is dead!''
