I opened my eyes in the morning feeling my whole body sore, I looked to my side and the bed was messy. I sit up trying to remember wha happened yesterday and the moment everything flashed through my memory, I took my phone in my hands and checked the time.
10:34 a.m
Oh my god I missed my classes.
I stepped out of bed and walked to the bathroom and washed my face, I passed a comb through my hair then walked downstairs.
I smelled the smell of eggs and I took a glance around the living room to see that there were plates on the table.
I walked in the kitchen and saw a shirtless Jason standing in front of the cooker with a pan in his hands. He didn't notice my presence because his back was facing me.
"What are you doing ?" I said the moment I was standing next to him.
"Oh you woke up," He said and looked at me. "Good morning."
"Good morning."
"Well since you were tired yesterday I decided to prepare you a healthy breakfast." He clarified. "And I'm preparing chocolate pancakes."
"Yay pancakes ! I love pancakes." I clapped my hands and I could see a big smile on his face.
"I'll continue setting the table." I said. I opened the fridge to grab whatever we could need and I noticed that the fridge was full of groceries that I'm sure I didn't buy. "What's this ?" I turned to look at Jason who was so concentrated in cooking the pancakes.
"What ?" He turned and looked at the at me then to the fridge. "Oh you didn't have most of the groceries so I went and bought some," He said.
"Why would you do that ?" I said annoyed.
"Uh you're welcome ?" He looked at me.
"No, I mean thank you of course but you didn't have to." I explained. "You must have spent a lot of money over all of this and why did you buy a big amount of chocolate ?" I pointed at four large boxes of chocolate and two big pots of chocolate. "How am I supposed to eat all of this ?" I said.
"I'll do it for you, I love chocolate." He joked and I sighed. "Faye, just set the table. I don't mind spending money over necessary things." He said.
"Necessary things that aren't necessary for you," I said. "You spend a lot of money without even noticing it, do you think you own some big company or something ?"
"You can say that." He said.
"What do you mean ?" I asked as I grabbed milk from the fridge.
"Nothing, just forget about it." He waved it off and I didn't ask more about it.
I poured coffee powder in the coffee machine to prepare my usual morning coffee.
"Just take juice," Jason said as he put the pancakes he prepared in the plates.
"No. I love coffee. I'm a coffee addict. I can't function without coffee." I said.
"Caffeine isn't really good for health." He remarked.
"Neither is smoking," I said.
He opened his mouth to speak then shut it.
I was right after all.
"We skipped class," I said as I put my coffee on the table and as Jason put the pancakes on the table too.
"I know. You were sick so I didn't want to wake you up early." He said and sat on the chair facing me.
