When I Find You

Chapter 23

I hopped out of bed and rapidly put on my clothes. I grabbed the few bags we had in the corner of the room and rushed out the room. I zipped down the stairs and found Ian waiting for me at the bottom. Ian grabbed my arm and dragged me towards the basement. He entered a passcode and a secret door opened up. Everyone was waiting in here for us. Inside this hidden chamber were all your basic necessities, water, canned food oh and guns, huge guns. They looked like military grade weapons. Ian grabbed a chair and placed it in the middle of the chamber.
"Frank please sit down. We need to wait for the cops to leave." He said.
"Thank you son" he responded and sat down in the chair. Suddenly Mathew and Ethan are holding him down while Ian is typing him onto the chair.
"We know it's you Jeremy. We know you switched with Frank when you blindfolded us and let us go" Mathew rolled his eyes. "You can give up the pathetic act now "
"Wow you kids are smart." He laughed.
"You got me. What are you going to do now? Kill me?" He grinned. Something was not right. He's not scared to die. Why wouldn't he be scared?
"Why are you doing this? You got everything you wanted. You have the company. " Ian interrogated.
"Not everything" Jeremy's eyes beamed into Ian's.
"Where's my father?" Ian said in a low harsh tone. Jeremy looked at Ian confusingly.
"What?" He asked.
"Where is my fucking father?" He screamed. The confused look remained on Jeremy's face and that's when I realized that Jeremy didn't have Ian's father.
Suddenly we heard the cops in the basement.
"Everyone be quiet" Ian put tape around Jeremy's mouth.
Just when we thought they left, the secret wall came crashing down and there stood the cops.
They marched towards Jeremy and ripped the tape of his mouth.
"Wait those aren't cops! Those are his men" Blake screamed.
"Great observation kid." Jeremy laughed.
Ian looked at me and I mouthed 'let him go'. He was terribly confused. 
His men began to untie him from the chair and soon enough Jeremy was on his feet, pointing a gun at us.
His men strolled towards Ian and grabbed him and began to drag him away.
"NO! What are you doing?!" I ran towards the Ian but a wall of armed men blocked me.
I quickly fought of two men simultaneously while Ethan, Mathew and Blake handled the rest.
"Jessica go!" Ethan screamed.
I bashed the two mens heads Together and dropped them to the ground. I ran out the basement into the streets only to find that Jeremy, his guards and Ian were gone. 
My body gave up and I dropped to the ground. I plopped my head into my hands and began sobbing.
I heard footsteps running towards me but I didn't care who they were.
I felt a set of arms lifting me up. Before I could fight them off, I recognized those hands to be Ethan's.
"Jess. They have Ian's mother too" Ethan's eyes dropped to the floor as he could no longer look at me.
"Were so sorry." Mathew said.
"So now they have my dad, Ian and Ian's mother." I began to walk inside the house and I could here the boys following me. We got inside the house and I sat down on the kitchen bar stool.
"Don't forget Ian's father." Blake said quietly.
"No he doesn't have him." I said. The boys looked at me as if I just found the cure for cancer.
"He looked confused when Ian asked for his father. I'm guessing he took Ian and his mother to lure him out."
"Do you think he will go for Ian's sisters?" Ethan asked.
"I'm not sure. But we need to get to them first and get them safe in case he does." I said. "So where are they ?"
"Uhm kind of far from here." Ethan said.
"Well let's grab our bags and go." I said while getting off the stool.
I walked up the stairs into the room that Ian and I shared. I sat down on the bed and started at the wall for a while.
I felt as if we went through all of this for nothing. We were right back where we started only worse. Jeremy has my father again and now my boyfriend and his mother. What was so important that Jeremy needed from Ian's father. I didn't know but I intended to find out.
