The Wedding Day

"Wow!" My mother, father and best friend Ally said in unison. They all stood their staring at me. I didn't know what I looked like since my mother had covered all mirrors in my room. My mother and Ally were busy since 7 am dressing me up.

My mother finally removed the cloth blocking the mirror and I stared at my self for the longest while. "Wow!" my mouth was hanging, I had no idea I could look this beautiful. I walked closer to the mirror to see the details of my dress. It was the same dress my mother wore on her wedding day. It was simply beautiful. It was a sleek white dress with simple lace detailing.

"Sweetie I can't believe how grown up you are." My mother said while sobbing. I went to hug her but she stopped me. "I don't want my tears ruining your dress." She laughed.

"Jessica I am so proud of you." I turned my head to see my father staring at me. "Honey I know you hate me, but I'm still your father and I have always loved you. Please let me walk you  down the aisle." He pleaded. When I first told my parents that I was engaged to be married, I firmly told my father that he wasn't going to be the one to walk me down the aisle. He had asked so calmly and loving, how could i refuse?

"Dad." He looked at me with willful eyes."I wouldn't want anyone else to walk me down the aisle" He jumped up in joy and hugged me carefully trying not to wrinkle my dress.

"Wait, you're not going to wear the necklace I gave you?" He asked.

"Uhm, do you want me to?"  I retorted.

"If you don't mind sweetie." I grabbed the necklace out of my bag and put it around my neck.

Every one walked out the room and I sat there alone, looking in the mirror. I needed time to assess myself. I needed to think. Was I rushing things with Blake? Was he the right man for me? Would he treat me the same after marriage? NO STOP IT JESSICA. What was I doing? This man loved me and i'm here having second thoughts. Blake was the love of my life, he treated me like a princess and we were meant for each other. I looked through my window to see the backyard set up perfectly. The chairs and tables were all aligned and in the middle of everything was the long aisle that led up to the white arch covered in flowers. The lake behind everything made the set up look even more beautiful.

knock. knock. knock

"Sweetie its time" I heard my mother call.

"OK. I'm coming"  Jess don't freak out and DON'T cry. I kept chanting this until I walked out of the room. I found my mother and Ally standing in front the door waiting for me. They guided me outside and then my father took over. I looked around and found everyone I knew and loved sitting at their tables staring at me. I looked at them and then I started to tear up.

"Don't cry honey." My father said while linking our arms together. We walked down the aisle and I could see Blake tearing up. He looked so handsome in his black suit. His eyes gleamed with joy and when I finally reached the arch he took my hands an quietly whispered in my ear "You look beautiful." Putting emphasis on the "beautiful'. I smiled and the priest started.

"Do you Blake Adams take Jessica Parker to have and to hold as your lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked.

"I do" He said with the biggest smile I've ever seen him with.

Then the priest turned to me. "Do you Jessica Parker take Blake Adams as your lawfully wedded husband."

"I d....."

"BOOM BOOM BOOM" Suddenly gunshots were firing everywhere and all I could see were people running everywhere. Blake took my hand and started running toward the house with me. I saw my mother and Ally were already inside. My father and his guards were shooting at 3 other men in white face masks.

Then one man stood up on a table and screamed STOP and shot in the air three times. We all stopped dead in our tracks. The man pulled off his white mask and revealed his face. As my father stared at the young man the two other masked men took out all the guards. My father was left alone in the yard with Blake, the masked men and I. My father ran up to the men shooting with his gun but he was all out of bullets. "What are you doing here. Leave!!!!!" I heard my father shout. "Not a chance old man." He threw my father down to the ground. He pointed the gun to my father head and that's when I panicked "STOP!!" I shouted. the man stopped and said "ahh there you are. We've been looking for you." The man got up from on-top my father and walked towards me. My father ran up from behind him and tried to tackle him, but the man grabbed my father and threw him onto the ground once again. He continued to walk towards me and suddenly

"BOOM"

The man shot Blake in the leg. "AHHHHHHHHHH" Blake was screaming and holding his leg in agony. "OH MY GOD" I screamed and tried to examine his leg. I had no idea what I  was supposed to do. "Why the hell did you do that!!!" I shouted at the man.

"I don't like him." Then he grabbed my arm and started dragging me towards a black van. My mother was running to rescue me but I shook my head "no" yet she still came towards me. My father grabbed her hand before she could reach me and shoved her back towards the house then he started limping towards me. I struggled to get out of this mans arms. I squirmed and squealed and tried to get away but this man was too strong. When he realized my father was almost near us, The man turned around and shot my father in the leg. "NOO" I screamed. My dad fell to the ground once again. He didn't scream in pain instead he continued to crawl towards me never letting his eyes leave mine. The man shoved me inside the black van and before he closed the doors I took one last look at my father and this was the first time I ever saw fear in his eyes.
