Rachel's P.O.V.
"Who are you texting?" Louis mumbled against my shoulder as my message to Skylar sent.
I sighed loudly, plopping my phone back into the clutch bag I had brought with me.
"Just Skylar.." I replied truthfully.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Rach, are you okay? You've been acting weird all night" he stated slowly, a little concerned.
I smiled slightly, pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
"I'm fine honey, promise. Just a little stressed at the minute" I told him.
I wasn't lying. I was very stressed. I knew that when Ashton and Skylar were messing around on the drums that there was something going on. And why did it bother me? I had Louis. Who honestly was so much better to me than I deserved. So why would I be hurt over the fact that Ashton and Skylar were together? Maybe it was just because I hadn't expected Ashton to get over me so quickly. Or maybe it was just because Skylar was my best friend and I hadn't expected her to be the one he moved on with. And what about Luke? I had been almost positive they were a couple.
I sighed again loudly.
"Hey Lou?" I asked, meeting his eye.
He nodded, encouraging me to go on.
"If I asked you to teach me piano, you would right?" I felt stupid asking the question, but the image of Skylar and Ashton on the drums kept flashing in my head.
"Rach, you'd never master the piano" he told me, smirking ever so slightly.
I glared at him, punching his shoulder playfully.
"Yeah but you would try teach me if I wanted you to..?" I trailed off leaving it as a question.
He rolled his eyes.
"Of course" he replied.
"Really?" I pressed.
He chuckled slightly.
"Really. Rach if you asked me to teach you fricking Chinese I would learn it just to teach you" he admitted, grinning.
I could feel my cheeks flush at that.
"Thank you" I replied shyly.
I felt a guilty pang in my stomach. I had been spending all my recent time thinking about Ashton, trying to work out how I felt. But here I had Louis, who evidently was completely devoted to me. He knew me better than anyone else on this campus (other than Harry of course) and was probably one of the most amazing friends I had ever had.
Yet honestly, after all of this thinking I just couldn't handle it anymore. I wasn't in the party mood anymore.
"You know Lou, I think I might just head back to my dorm. I'm not really in a partying kinda mood anymore" I confessed, lugging myself up off of him.
I stood up so quickly that my head began to spin. I hadn't even drank that much, but I had drank enough to be pretty tipsy.
He stood up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Babe, you really can not hold your liquor" he chuckled lowly in my ear.
I rolled my eyes.
"Can too" I argued back, though it was pointless.
He just laughed in response.
I turned in his arms to face him.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?" I leaned in to give him a quick kiss goodbye.
