Rachel's P.O.V.

"He did not!" I exclaimed as Demi came to the end of the story she had been telling about her campus life.

"Oh but he did" she replied, giggling.

I couldn't help but laugh along with her. Demi was such a genuinely easy person to talk to - it was insane. She was so loud and bubbly that couldn't help but enjoy myself whenever I was around her.

We were currently in McDonalds, deciding to just pig out and enjoy ourselves - We had spent hours shopping and were starving at this point. I was delighted when at long last our food got delivered.

"Hey El, you okay?" I asked, realising Eleanor was staring at her phone anxiously.

She looked up at me quickly, giving me a smile.

"Of course, of course. Just tired" she replied, obviously lying.

Demi rolled her eyes.

"Is he still not replying to you?" she asked, snatching Eleanor's phone off of the table.

"Demi!" she exclaimed.

Flicking through her phone, Demi sighed.

"We really have to do something about this!" she groaned, handing Eleanor back her phone.

I raised an eyebrow. I didn't want to seem nosey, but whatever they were talking about seemed pretty interesting.

I glanced down at my food.

"Everything okay?" I asked, nonchalantly.

They both looked at me strangely for a second before Eleanor sighed loudly.

"If I tell you something, you won't tell anyone, right?" she asked me.

I shook my head.

"Of course not" I assured her.

She nodded, biting her lip.

"Okay well a few days ago Louis showed up at my room when I was alone. He was really upset. His face was all bruised and he looked a total mess, right? So I let him in, you know being a good friend and all. And so I cleaned him up and we got to chatting and I don't know - we started talking all about everything with us and all the good times and things kinda got a bit crazy" she began explaining.

I felt my heart thump in my chest. Louis? As in my Louis?

"Crazy?" I asked, trying to keep my voice as even as possible.

Thankfully she didn't seem to notice my awkwardness.

"Yeah. We - um - we slept together. I don't know, I mean it was just so familiar. I have no idea how I feel about it. And then afterwards, he like flipped out, saying he had probably ruined everything and that he needed to go fix things. I have no idea what he meant by that. He was gone before I even had a chance to process what had happened" she finished.

At this point I was finding it hard to breathe. My whole chest had tightened up and there was a large lump in my throat forming. Tears pricked the back of my eyes.

I took a deep breath, trying my best to relax.

"Wow, that's insane" I mumbled, trying my best not to let my emotions.

"And now he's completely ignoring her" Demi added, rolling her eyes.

Eleanor nodded.

"Really though it's my fault. I know him, he was really upset and angry when he showed up. I should've known it was gonna end the way it did" she mumbled to herself.
