Chapter 10

It was another day that I was stuck in the house by myself Deshaun said he had to "run some errands". Of course when I offered to go with him he declined I can't help but to feel like he's hiding something from me. I don't just trust everybody I pray to God he's not keeping anything from me if I found out I wouldn't know what to to do. I've been sitting here for the past hour switching from channel to channel going from bad girls club to Phineas and ferb. Im just soo bored I still don't understand why he wouldn't let me come with him. My train of thought was quickly disturbed by the vibration of my phone it was a text from Kira.

I was quickly taken out of the conversation by a loud knock on the door. I was going to wait till the person stopped but obviously they weren't. I swiftly got off the couch and moved towards the door on my way to the door I hit my pinky toe on the corner of the coffee table. "Fuck!" I yelled quickly covering my mouth.

"Kilo!"the person screamed over and over I went towards the door and looked through the peep hole. It was a tall black man in a suit

"Kilo! I know you're in there open the damn door!" He still yelling. I couldn't help but jump every time he banged on the door.

"Kilo I know you have my money!" He screamed. This guy was obviously out his mind and had the wrong apartment. Soon the banging on the door came to a stop. Wow people are crazy.

"What's so funny?" Deshaun asked with his mouth full of mashed potatoes making me laugh even more he was such a pig when he ate.

We were eating dinner made by yours truly he was of course being the goofball that he is.

"So how was your day bae?" He asked me

"It was fine except for one thing."

"What was it?"he asked with curiosity on his face.

"Well I was watching TV and the man came banging on the door."

"Um foreal what he look like?"

"Well he was tall ,dark skin and he was wearing a suit? "

"Really?"

"Yeah and he kept yelling "kilo"."

"Woah" he said with his eyes popping out of his head. He soon started to chew on his lip indicating that he was thinking hard about something.

"Um is everything ok?" I asked

"Uu yeah don't worry about it." I could tell he was lying to me.

"Deshaun I can tell you're lying to me." He's
Just shook his head bavk and forth.

"Why can't you just tell me?" I begged

"Cam look I just can't tell you. "

"Please Deshaun you know you can trust me." I said grabbing his hand

"It's not about me trusing you I just don't want to scare you away from me. "

"Trust me im not going to be scared." I said giving him a reassuring look.

He let out an exhausted sigh " I'm a um drugdealer. He murmured.

"Deshaun I'm serious." I said

He slowly looked in my eyes " I'm a drug dealer. " it took me a while to process what he told me.
It brought back a lot of bad memories about my parents. I was just so overwhelmed with emotions.

"You have to stop." I told him still starring in his eyes.

" Cam it ain't that simple."

"Why not!" I yelled. I didn't mean to raise my voice I was just so frustrated.

"Cam just calm down. " he told me.

"Deshaun you have to quit I'm not going to sit here and watch you ruin your life! " I pleaded

" Cam I just can't up and stop and I owe my boss money." All I could think of was just wow.

" I'm sorry I just can't do this right now." I said grabbing my phone and shoes making my way out of the door. "Cam please." He begged I just kept walking I knew that if looked back I'd be tempted to go back inside. I made it down the elevator and towards the front door of the building. I texted Kira to come and pick me up and I gave her the address. Not to long after her car pulled up outside I quickly got in.

"You ok ?" She asked me with a concerned look in her eyes. I just shook my head no I felt like if I spoke I would end up crying. I just couldn't move my mouth I just sat there shaking my head back and forth. I just couldn't get the images out of my head all of the screaming all of the beatings the crying it just all hit me at once. He just doesn't seem to understand how serious this is to me. Maybe I just don't deserve love.
